Was the helmet to helmet on Nico targeting?

Vicis helmets are designed to break upon very strong impact. The outer shell actually moves to absorb the impact so that the inside remains still. The company that makes the helmets is a R&D company, no necessarily a sporting goods company. While the helmets breaking aren’t a great look in most peoples’ eyes, in these cases the players did not sustain concussions. I researched a ton of helmets before opting on a Vicis for my son to wear.
Thanks for the info. I figured it had to be a feature of the helmet.

If it was another qb you would be drooling at the mouth, probably post a thread we need to get this qb in the portal. Every other player on tn offense is being paid as well. Did you see the same fight from the rest of the team? No.
You literally need mental health support. There is nothing heroic about playing football. Get an enema and block my posts.

Not targeting. Nico lowered his helmet. The defender didn’t have time to react. There is so much a player can do when playing @ full speed.

It wasn’t targeting but not for this reason. At the point Nico became a runner and he didn’t get hit with the defender with the crown of helmet and he was no longer in protected status as defenseless.

There’s no way you believe any of that **** you just typed. He is only getting deals because he plays football for TN. He is not getting paid simply for being Nico. While I’m sure there are no performance merits tied to those contracts, I would bet the farm there are clauses associated with playing football for TN? How many Nico jerseys would Nico sell if he decided to quit football and explore the debate team…… give me a break.
If he has a guaranteed amount paid, he is going to get paid regardless of what he is doing. If he sat the bench, decided to go play for another team, decided to join the debate team, doesn’t matter. Somebody offered him money out of high school to endorse them. Jersey sales are just supplemental income at this point.

It is arguing semantics. Yes football made him more popular, yes someone gave him a deal to play football for UT. But it is not tied to playing. Therefore he is not getting paid to play. He is getting paid cause he was really good in high school and someone wanted him to wear Orange and they thought they could make money off him.

If I recall didn't they order a special helmet for Nico after the big hit earlier in the season sent him to the bench?
Seems that helmet cracked like an egg shell, similar to Mahomes. I mean it happens but not very often.

Just like packaging and car construction, sacrificial loss is part of the protection.
