Has Washpun played since his technical foul against Florida? I can't remember him playing any significant minutes since then, but now I am wondering if he has seen the floor at all since that incident. I know others on here pay more attention to CCM pressers than I do. Has he said anything about Washpun not playing other than it's just a matter of him not playing as well as the other options?

I'd love to see Washpuns scholly go to someone else. Not hating on the kid but a lot of other prospects that would probably come to Tennessee that isn't as much of a project as he is. I also wouldn't mind seeing the other kid (that I can't spell lol) take a walk too.

My question was more about anyone hearing if Washpun was being punished for the technical. I didn't mean for it to be a bash Washpun thread. However, I will say, I don't think Washpun was or has come as far along as Martin thought he would. I was just wondering anyone had heard if the apparent benching was more of a dog house issue for the technical or just a matter of not playing up to SEC level.

No CCM wouldn't punish him this severely for a T.

Golden is playing 32-34 minutes and those other 6-8 minutes have been going to Jordan McRae. McRae needs those minutes at the point because he's played very well lately.

Isn't the PG transfer from Clemson a really good player

That remains to be determined.

Apparently he was very good in HS, went to Clemson and was misused. Well see what he brings soon enough though. If anything he's a better option than Wes as a backup.

The espn box score lists Washpun as logging 1 minute in the LSU game. In the 5 games from the start of SEC play (1st Florida game) to the 2nd Florida game he played 29 minutes. Not a lot but since then < 1 minute. Couch Martin found who he likes to play and Wes ain't one of them

I guarantee you he will be on the team next year. Unless he does something to get kicked off.

Have you been told this?

We have golden at PG, Cory Stanton at PG, and are trying to bring in another. That's 3 PG on the roster, why would Wes stay and be number 4?

I've played with Wes at TRECS a couple of times, that kid is lightning fast and can jump out of the building--he throws down some ridiculous dunks for a PG. I'd be surprised if he's not on the team next year. Like a few people have said, c'mon... he's just a freshman

This staff keeps a tight lid on internal matters (K.Hall) so we may never know how much the FL incident weighed on Washpun's status. But he hasn't seen the court since, that's for sure.
