Washpun question

I would LOVE to have me some Do-Overs!
Wouldn't that just be Grand!

Yup.

The point was he probably regrets offering yemi and Wes, more so Wes.

And as I said this is the reason we most likely won't see him here next year of we do indeed sign a juco PG.

Yemi is raw but has some skill and a decent feel for the game. Good hands as well. I think he'll be a good player in a couple of years.

I agree. I see Yemi staying next year. Miller... eh. Not so much.

id like for yemi to stay, and i think he will.

my prediction is wes and miller are both gone.

i dont know enough about the chievous situation to say whether or not he'll be here.

also remains a possibility that reese goes to prep school.

CCM needs to tell Reese to go to prep school. I have no clue why he took that commitment.

it was very early, much like the wes, chievous, yemi and miller committments.

i honestly think that CCM didnt think they would have this much recruiting success so early.

also, probably the fact that many coaches were out there saying tennessee was gonna get hammered didnt help.

i said it earlier, in hindsight he probably wouldnt have brought in miller, wes or chievous and probably wouldnt have taken the commitment of reese.

I haven't seen him play. Can he shoot?

imagine woolridge, with a little bit better outside shot.

espn evaluation:

Strengths:
This is a wing who bases his game on the perimeter. Reese is aggressive in hunting his shot and does his best work from mid-range though he will let it fly from deep. When it comes to offense, he's not afraid of creating his shots.

Weaknesses:
At times, can be passive and that results in inconsistent performances. Would like to see him diversify his offense and begin to take advantage of mismatches at the small forward position. Needs to work on his handle, commit himself to being a rebounder.
Bottom Line:
Mid level player with a perimeter stroke, he's a guy that's always smiling, seems to have something to prove.

We'll see what happens.

We need consistent shooters. We need wings that can spot up after they double down low. I assume if he signs, it will be because he fits a role that CM is looking for, and can knock down a shot.

Washpun isn't being punished, he's just not ready to contribute at this level yet.

he has already signed, a little late to rethink the offer now i suppose.

best hope is he goes to prep school i think.

i just see a jam up at his position, he is a 3/4. he isnt going to get time at the 4, and he'll be competing for time at the 3 with mcrae, edwards and chievous. seems like too many bodys at the 3 imo.

Maybe.. A lot skinnier though and only shot 29 pct on 3s and 36 pct overall this year. averaged 9.1 ppg and 8 rpg. I'm guessing red-shirt candidate. This classes Quinton Chievous.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you who we do have coming in next year. I don't follow recruiting, outside of a few individual players or specific high schools.

dmontre edwards and derek reese.

edwards is a juco sf, seems like a solid do everything type of guy. reminds me of a tatum, but with decent knees, numbers wise though, he'll give you about what cam did. 8ppg 6rb 4ast type of guy that'll play good defense.

as we've been talking about reese is more of the question mark in this recruiting class.

CCM is still after C Charles Mitchell as well, and has recently offered JUCO PG Fabyon Harris.

whered you find his stats? i tried but was unsuccesful...

29 and 36 huh? thats pretty bad, and that is supposed to kind of be his strong suit is his mid range and perimeter shot.

im hoping this guy goes prep school

So basically everyone who isn't projected to start next season by VN's Nostradamus is going to transfer? Does anyone remember how awful Maymon looked last year? Players improve and freshmen don't usually start unless they're a John Wall or Jarnell Stokes type superstar.

I'm not sure whether or not any of Cuonzo's so called "emergency recruits" will ever contribute but the whole idea that incoming recruits are necessarily better than players currently on the roster is kind of dumb. Lane will start over Poole, Tiny will start over Thomas, Arnett/Dallas will start over ZR, the list goes on and on. Everyone is always infatuated with incoming recruits
