Texas A&M with clear catch for a TD that was initially ruled incomplete. Replay looks to show good catch but after replay official inexplicable upholds incomplete call and A&M ends up settling for a FG.
In Oklahoma - Kansas game with Oklahoma down 14-0 officials help out the Sooners with a late hit OOB call that was weak to say the least and then ruled forward progress stopped on a fumble that led to a TD. Sratching my head how can they be so bad.

The fact refs aren’t held accountable in 2023 tells me all I need to know. The NCAA knows what they’re doing and they have no plans on changing their money formula.
You don’t think they bet on games? Pshh refs probably have bbq at some ncaa officials houses.
Maybe I'm naive but the -4 from TD to FG isn't going to make them hit the spread or miss it nor the O/U, at least at this point. If they do end up -4 from hitting, let's talk.

I think the refs just suck.

Don’t you think they should be hell accountable tho? I know it’ll never happen, but when coaches suck they get fired. We shouldn’t fire the refs bc I would assume the back ups would really suck lol maybe fine the refs. They don’t nearly have the pockets as coaches did that would hurt them more

True, the refs are bad EVERYWHERE this season. But with most teams, it is basic incompetence. But statistically the bad calls should even out even with blind incompetence. But since Tennessee has not benefited from the expected equivalence; I can only surmise that with the Vols it is deliberate and personal.

When they embraced gambling they brought the fox into the hen house. The fox is going to do what is in his nature. When the fox is the gamblers, then they will try to fix games. It's what they do. Anyone who thinks otherwise are foolish and living in denial. Anyone that thinks it can be controlled is just dreaming.

I said the refs suck. And I've said before if the SEC WANTED to fix this they'd take TV revenue from each school and hire full-time refs.

They won't. The SEC and NCAA are terrified hiring full-time professional refs just helps the upcoming lawsuit which will claim the NCAA is running a pro football business, which they are, and the players are pro athletes employed by the schools.

The NCAA and SEC will do anything and everything to avoid sharing TV revenue with the players.

Until big names in the media complain about officiating, nothing will happen. The NCAA and conferences don't care what fans think

Did I miss the SEC and NCAA being involved in the legalization of college sports gambling?

Who is "they" except the courts and state legislatures.

Gambling isn't good for the sport but you can't pin "they" on the NCAA or SEC. It wasn't their choice.

I was watching that game/call and I think they ruled it because the replay could not confirm the receiver had control of the ball until his foot was out of bounds. But with that much effort, I thought they should have given it to him.

What used to be "inept" has been compounded and multiplied by this hogwash forcing more commercials down the fans collective throats under the guise of "shortening" the length of games. Fraud...absolute fraud.

The only way to approach this is like a coach show every Sunday morning after the game and have them view all bad calls or missed calls from the night before and explain why the call was made or missed if it was obvious on the TV broadcast.

Accountability out in the open. Viewership with sponsors could make it to where there is money to compensate them for their time.

We all know it would never happen, but it would be my thought on the subject.

I'm positive it has nothing to do with the NCAA's partnership with various sports betting sites.

Yessir, uh huh, yep.

Somebody told me they make $3000 a game plus all expenses paid. They must do better and be held accountable!!! All day long!!!!!

Refs inability to spot the ball accurately just cost FL big time. Even with replay/review they were at least a football length off. Sound familiar?

I assume you are talking about a disappointing outcome in a Florida Tennessee game.
