I did see an article about CA municipalities paying people to remove grass from their lawns and install xeriscape instead. It's stupid that they're using taxpayer funds for this when it should have been legislated from the start. Also all the do as I say not as I do crowd should have been doing this years ago. Palo Alto, Beverly Hills, San Diego etc. you'll see lots of nice green lawns, pools, and golf courses. You wouldn't even know there was a water problem.
