It's ironic, but the blind optimism in the Volnation turns more in to a negative than a positive.

Lunatics come on here and claim insane things without thinking, others join in, and it creates its own life force. Then, when the insane doesn't happen, people have gotten so wrapped up in it they start screaming to fire coaches and boycott games.

How about we just calm down, go to the games and cheer on CBJ and the boys? Stop with the predictions, you don't know what you're talking about. Just sit down and enjoy having an actual coach on the sidelines and let it play out.

:) "life force"? Like in star trek? Naw...we have recruited inside the top 25 for years...Dools first class (upperclassmen on this team) was ranked in the top ten if I remember correctly. So "on paper", its not a stretch at all to think we could finish in the top 25. We have been soured by some of the worst coaching you can imagine. We are still Tennessee...and its not insane to think we can make the top 25. No one is saying we are going to win an SEC or Nat Title. Besides, if we have a choice to believe in this team and this staff and their ability to improve or not, and all we have to lose by believing in them is...well...we look like we have hope for them(?), then lets believe! GBO! To me, the "sunshine pumpers" are just fans that are excited to have "an actual coach". Problem? Naw...and no ETs either. GBO!

"Ive got a feeling" about that Oregon game! HAHA No seriously, with Oregon losing their coach that led them to so many wins, there has to be a little doubt that on the green sideline. Maybe they lost some confidence and worry with the new coach they wont be as good as they have been. Plus, you look at thier roster "recruiting ranking" wise, and it's in the mid 30's every year. So we shouldn't be that far behind talent wise.

It does set up nice for a ton of national exposure early if Butch can some how pull that game off. We do have an outstanding O line and some good RB. And I think the D will go from horrible to average, which is a huge improvement. With a couple of ill timed turnovers by Oregon, TN could pull the shocker.

If we end up 3 and 5 after the Bama game.... if CBJ can keep the attitude up... we could maybe win out and finish 7 and 5 but it is hard when you have UGA, SC and Bama back to back to back and a young team can get beat up and give up........(see this year when we gave up on Mizzzou in regulation and Vandy early when Bray was pulled) this is where the coaches need to earn their money, keeping attitudes and heads up to finish strong. Would really help 2014 recruiting... if we could finish 7-5 and win bowl game ...we need some MO...going forward.

Exactly! Thats only TWO more wins than last year! And even if we get to 7 including the weedeater bowl or some such bowl, that could be close to top 25 given strength of schedule! Its certainly possible. GBO!

we are all national champions...until the first kickoff! if we have 7 wins i will be very happy...crap if we beat oregon and vandy it is a great season no matter if we lose the rest...
