We are so going to destroy Vandy

The Mizzou QB that beat us last year was Mauck, not Franklin.
Mizzou rushed for over 300 yards and passed for about 160. Mauk completed less than half his passes even with a dominant run game and not much pressure from UT. If it had just depended on the QB's with equal support around them... Dobbs is the better player.

I do think we match up well with both SCar and UGA, but we'll be underdogs in both games. I personally think Florida bounces back and wins the SECe with Georgia in 2nd due to their overall talent and running game. UT will do very well to finish 3rd.

That would be a VERY successful season... but it probably won't happen without a win over UF.

Lets see:

1. New coach- no HC experience
2. New starting QB
3. Switching to the 3-4
4. No Jordan Matthews
++++++++++++++and+++++++++++++++++

The only thing Vandy can hope for is that the guys who redshirted last year will perform beyond the ratings given to them by the scouting services.

5. No returning secondary and 2LB holes to fill.
6. No Sawyers or Robertson
7. 2014 recruiting class imploded like a black hole.
8. We may have a top 3 secondary next year.
9. Hurd Up!
10. WR University.

I'll wait to bad mouth candy much until we are actually beating them again. I recall shortly after the loss 2 years ago that most were claiming "wait till next year". Well, that did not work out so well. I REALLY hope CBJ and company can get it done in 2014. I think mason will be a decent coach. I hope he loses by 35 to UT this year.

I bad-mouth them right now. F them, they will be beaten like a dusty rug.

More than anything what makes me confident about the Vandy game next year is that Jordan Matthews won't be on the field.

They couldn't win the east division in the Southern Conference. That is if there is a south division.

Pansy division champs!

Saltwater has a no volatile properties. However the excreted produce they exude when reality sets in produces a flammable gas. Thus Nashville will save the expense of sending a fuel gathering craft to Titan to siphon the same gas from thence.

I'm thinking Hydroelectric type tears. So many, dams will be built to stop from flooding Nashville

its a message board, during the off season, and people can talk about whatever they want. if you dont want to read it then why did you click on the thread? People arent obsessed just bc they like discussing their rivals and fellow SEC East foes.

We're probably the only ones in the SEC East that consistently talks about them.

I think you finish in the Top 3 in the SECe this year and possibly win it. Florida sucks. Vandy sucks. Mizzou lost their QB.

Its you, UGA, and USCe. Really, with a little luck you ought to be in the SEC title game this year.

Missouri played the UF, USCe, UT, and UK games with the guy who's going to be starting for them this year.

The bigger thing in their case is probably replacing their entire set of defensive backs...possibly followed by losing their #2 and #3 WRs and/or possibly their starting RB leaving early.

They actually believe they are going to win the East. It is going to do my heart good when we kill them in Nashville in the last game of the year and knock them back to where they belong.

Vandy was one of the best-coached team in the SEC. Anyone wanting to argue that fact should look at their quality of players vs practically every other team except maybe KY. Now that the coaching is gone, so will any hopes Vandy has for even a winning season. I've said it all along. Franklin was Vandy. They're done.

Once again, Neyland West will be packed with the Big Orange faithful. Welcome to Vanderbilt football, Cosch Mason.

Nothing reflects how far we've fallen than this thread. We're going to beat...Vandy! Whew! Pathetic.

This. When I was in school from 1996-2001, Vandy wasn't even a consideration. Whether you like it our not, the fact that every week there is someone starting a thread about vandy in the FF it speaks to the state of Vol Football.

UT/Vandy games from 95-97 were all decided by a td or less with teams that were much better than the current UT squad.

I also think some random person starting a thread on the internet means very little about the state of an entire program

Exactly.

Letting Jordan Matthews win games for him is something people knock Franklin for, but I'd actually say it was one of his best coaching moves. Dooley could have used Patterson like that, but he didn't.

Franklin knew that Matthews is a freak, so he basically designed their offense around him, and it worked.
