I do think we have a very slight chance, but people need to stop making up crap about Alabama to try and make a W seem even more possible.

And people need to not look too much into beating SC.

Enjoy the hell out of a signature win vs #12 Scar, understand what it means for the progress the program is making. Also understand its got nothing to do with beating Alabama this week. We will have to play a flawless game and they will have to give a poor effort by their standards for us to have a chance.... stranger things have happened.

Vols can win but will need a lot of help from Bama. 6 TO's with a pick 6 and blocked punt returned for TD might do it. Bama plays a clean game it will be pretty ugly.

That's the thing, Bama hasn't really played a completely clean game all year. They've had plenty of sloppy first halves throughout the year. Not saying that Bama isn't the top dog, because I know who they are, and what they can do. But this Bama team has holes. They aren't near as dominant as they have been in recent years.

If our offense can push the pace, and play consistently, we just might be able to make this game interesting. Worley is getting better week to week, and pig and North have both emerged as playmakers.

I think our defense will stand their ground Saturday, and be able to apply consistent pressure on McCarron with Bama's rather weak O-Line. Any mistake they make, we must capitalize. As always, carry the fight for 60 minutes. Go Vols!

Alabama is good, but I don't feel like they're the same team from last year and we obviously aren't. Last year we kept up with them till halftime then it was a disaster. We're more overall complete this year compared to last year. I'm looking forward to this game. Especially since it's on my birthday!
P.S what's up with Alabama being 28.5 point favorites?! That's crazy. We lost to them by like 31 last year. I really don't believe they'll beat us that bad.

I agree. USCe was good but Alabama is on another level. The only cause for hesitation is the fact that they really haven't been tested outside the A&M game. I'm hoping we give them a good test on Saturday...I think we have a shot if we can get to the 4th quarter with the score close. If we get down early it'll be really hard to come back against that defense.

Honestly I have a good feeling about this game. Saban is the best in history but not immortal in the football world. I thought we might have a better shot if it was in Neyland, but I realized bama is the best place for an upset. Their last three losses have been at their house: auburn 2010, lsu 2011 and a&m 2012. Saban does not lose on the road bc the team has zero distractions; it is all business. This team was laughing their way through the Arkansas game last week. Aj was running off the sideline laughing and having a good time. This is a perfect setup for the Vols to hit them in the mouth and shock them. I'm telling you boys it just feels different; the vols haven't had a close game in years with Bama. They are due!!!

I honestly like our chances against Alabama better than our chances against Auburn. Tennessee can play with a pro style offense. After the last two weeks and all the upsets I wouldn't say that it's not possible.

I for one would have never thought FSU would dismantle Clemson at death valley the way they did. So seeing Tennessee squeak by Alabama because of a few turnovers and late penalties wouldn't shock me.
