If we continue to play a lifeless, discombobulated brand of basketball every first half of the early games, I'll be turning up the heat for "The Official Fire Coach Martin Thread." I'm still in disbelief we actually faced a double digit deficit to the almighty South Carolina Upstate. Thus far, I haven't witnessed anything new to give me the belief that his "half season" antics will be anything different this year.

Trolling ?

The team has talent, played terrible the first 2 games. They are very lucky they are not sitting at 0-2 now.
If Zo could coach as well as he can recruit, this team would be 2-0 with 2 blowout wins.

You would have a point if we just gave up and laid down against Upstate while we were facing adversity. Instead we clawed back, hustled and won.

No two ways around it that the Xavier game was disappointing, but how about we wait until after Atlantis before we start grabbing the pitchforks.

Xavier is a tourney team. To think we would blow them out on the road explains your knowledge of basketball. Yes we should have beat Upstate by more. They shot 50%+ in the first half. They cooled off and we took off.

Upstate obviously has some talent to go into Va Tech first game of the year and win. Wether Tech is good or not going into an ACC environment and handing them a loss on opening night means something.

Xavier played terrible yet still won. If TN had came out in 1st half ready to play ball, yes they would have blown Xavier out. Did you watch that game ? Both sides play was pathetic.

Nothing was falling at all. It wasn't like UT wasn't getting shots. That's not coaching that's just first game jitters. Stokes was being absolutely abused by Sherk in the process. It happens. Second half everything opened up and they played better. Still don't think we would have blown them out.

It's not an opinion. Lied to the NCAA and SEC. Doubt they let him come back to UT. All he had to do was tell the truth.
