We don't want no stinkin' Sonny Dykes....

Do you see us being the favorite in the East next season? That is when I'd say the rebuild project is complete. I'd say three-four years would be right about at the low end of the time it takes to build an SEC championship level program. Especially considering where UT came from talent wise, and how good of a team that's needed to win the East and then the SEC.
I never said Tennessee would be the favorite in the East next season, nor did I say the rebuild was complete. I merely said that the rebuild was well ahead of schedule. Ahead of schedule is just that, it does not indicate a finished project. There is still plenty of work to do to sustain success.

Good grief, GBO already!

Not that TCU isn't a good team but they really benefited from a down Big 12. Texas,Oklahoma, Ok State all were not very good, but they did take advantage of it, got to give it to them.

One of the dumbest plays this weekend was by Sonny's team.
4-1 on the two foot line to win the game. Big ole QB had taken the team on his shoulders to put them in a position to win.
What's Sonny do? Hand it to his RB 6 yards deep. 🤷

Twice 3RD & 1 Then stupid enough to try it again on 4TH & 1.

Really? We were one game away from the playoff ourselves. Why would we be thinking we missed out on Sonny Dykes.

What does it say about college football when TCU loses their conference championship game and backs into playing for the national championship. Can't wait until we have 12 teams in the playoffs. Lmao

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you HENDON HOOKER. Don't know who was any better to Inherit.

To start the 2021 season our coaches thought Milton was better. Just saying.

Hooker should have a picture of coach Huepel on his mantle the rest of his life because without him the outlook was bleak at best for HH's football career.

Yeah, if this team was in the big 12, we would be undefeated.

And I like the job Dykes has done this year. I certainly didn’t expect it. But this is not a “what if” scenario. I wouldn’t trade coaches with TCU and if Dykes were here, we would have 7 wins max this year. Likely less.

But I do hope Duggan wins the Heisman because the other jackasses are only there because of their teams. I think TCU is only in the picture because of Duggan.

He got lucky, the majority of his team are 4th or 5th yr Sr's that have played a lot of football. He is not a good HC.
TCU has 32 seniors on scholarship.

BUT

UT has 30.

Agree

I bet we'd be in the playoff with TCU's schedule this year. Not to say they're not deserving, but they eeked out a few too many wins for my liking.

It says it was their first loss, in overtime, to a Top 10 team, that they'd already beaten, and in a "bonus game" as it was a conference championship so had already gone unbeaten.

TCU wasn't the reason we didn't make the playoffs. Losing to South Carolina was.

Comprehension is not a strong skill of yours. Nowhere in my post did I advocate the Vols should be in.

No, you didn't.

You asked
"What does it say about college football when TCU loses their conference championship game and backs into playing for the national championship."
(ending with a period instead of a question mark)

And I responded with:
"It says it was their first loss, in overtime, to a Top 10 team, that they'd already beaten, and in a "bonus game" as it was a conference championship so had already gone unbeaten."

But keep on criticizing others comprehension skills. You don't look the least bit like a clown doing so. Nope, not at all.

And just think soon there will be 12 teams in a sham playoff. I would tend to think a language professor like you could understand this only cheapens the college football championship.
