But yet it’s like the world is melting… 8-4 is still better than most seasons in the past 15 years. This staff will finally have more than 60% of the team as their recruits next year and we can still ruin Georgias season next week with a great game. I love our Vols and still trust this is the staff to lead us into the future GBO…

LSU is 4-2 in conference play and beat this same Missouri team by 10 points, and is about to beat Florida 52-35, and will most likely end the season 6-2 with a win over A&M.

We on the other hand are going to end the season 4-4 in conference play with our best conference win being over a garbage Kentucky team.

Beating cupcakes and OOC teams with losing records means nothing if the best we can manage is .500 in the SEC.

Not to mention they have a proven coach with a track record, in spite of being goofy as hell.

Man put NCAA ‘14 down for 5 minutes and come back to the real world. This roster was never going to be better than 8-4 unless it got someone by surprise, which it very well may next week, who knows.

Lol, we don't have the roster to beat a putrid Florida coached by Sun Belt Billy?

Did you have the same opinion of our roster in the first half of the Alabama game?

I think this thread will be what gets people to not be upset anymore.

Seriously, though. People have the right to be fuming mad over this game. They even have the right to post stupid things (though I do this daily) Emotions do that. However, why do we care about LSU and their record? You’re not going to have a lot of positive comments today. People vent. It’s fine.

I mean seeing how you can go back and find posts where I said 8-4 with losses to Florida and Bama, yea I don’t think we do when it comes to what it takes to beat our rivals. We don’t have competitors on this team and it’s shown in all our losses.

That’s not to say on paper we should have better players than UF and Mizzou, and we should have won based off just the depth charts. But everyone knows this game isn’t played just on who’s listed on the depth chart. This team isn’t made up of superstars that are necessary to win in the SEC. It’s made up of decent players who can compete up to a point and may find a way to win or may crumble. Unfortunately in 3 games we’ve crumbled because we can’t get out of our own damn way.

And there's little chance folks will confuse Milton for Daniels. That cat is a playmaker. Thought I heard them say he RAN for 200 yards today. We've been exposed as paper tigers. Our success is built on a schedule of mostly cupcakes. We've beaten no one of consequence and lost to what will likely be a UF squad that ends up missing a bowl game. If we beat a decent team, it will be in a bowl. Be happy with 8 wins. That might not happen with next year's schedule.

Tamu is better than UK, and it was the first time we beat them. We beat UK most any year.

Come on man, your nega-vol game is weak. Step it up!

You know a Tennessee season is a 'success', when someone wants to argue whether beating a 4th in the East Kentucky is as impressive as beating a 4th in the West Texas A&M.

I haven't seen anything this season that leads me to believe we're gonna ruin Georgia's season. They still gotta line up and play but they're just a whole nother level than what we are. We don't have any leadership on our team. There's no fire in the belly. These guys don't get riled up for anything. I'm ready to turn the page on this season already.

As I suspected, the VN meltdown. We are in year 3 of a complete rebuild. JH and staff have done incredible work rebuilding the program, getting top level recruits, winning games we should not have won considering we lost 35 transfers when he came in. I believe 2025 we play for the Natty. Next year we'll scare some people again and be in the hunt but 2025 is our year! We are most likely finishing now 8-4 and that was a lot of predictions by VN at the beginning of the season. I thought 9-3 or 10-2 and we still have a shot at 9-3 though a small shot because it's at home! 8-4 with a good bowl game and this will launch into the Nico era and new playoff system next year. I'm excited for the future!!

Go Vols!

Short memories… last year we beat Bama, LSU & Florida… 3 years ago we had the worst coach in program history, since 2009 (15 years) we have had four seasons with 8 or more wins: 2015, 2016 (Dobbs years), 2019, & 2022. 8 wins has not been a “given” for a while… would I have hoped we’d have won more than 8 (& I’m not conceding the Georgia game, for the possibility of 9), yes! Is it an utter failure if 8 wins is where we end the year? No! Look at how much help Florida, Bama, UK & even gut punching Mizzou got from the zebras in hose games… beating an opposing team is one thing beating the jack@$$es in stripes is completely different.

And there’s 1 thing I know 100%.
If you switch QB’s and give us Daniel’s we’d be much better and they’d suck.

It’s not the losses that bother me, it’s how we lost those games. This team is too soft when they get hit in the mouth. We shouldn’t be getting blown out by Mizzou in year 3.

I’ve said it before. 1 bad play and they are done.
Wrights fumble- done
Bama’s 2nd play of 3rd quarter- done
Florida 60+ yard TD run— done

It would be easier to swallow if two of the losses weren’t to a horrible UF team and a blowout loss to Eli Drinkwitz.
