There are a handful of jobs nationally that I could see Heupel considering. Auburn for darn sure isn’t one of them!

The only job I could see Heupel possibly leaving for is a NFL job and he may even be cautious about that as NFL coaches are a dime a dozen. He’s definitely not going to rebuild another SEC school when he’s creating a powerhouse here. I think he also wants to win a natty before he’d flirt with a NFL spot. We aren’t drinking buddies or anything, just my 2 cents.

I don’t see him leaving at all, but if he did, it would be for the NFL and it would be down the road. He’s not leaving Tennessee for another college job.

When a thread starts like this based on some click-bait article, you can immediately tell the posters on here that are still suffering from BVS. Their posts read like they are from a bunch of chicken-littles. Relax everyone and focus on the Georgia game.
This couldn't be further from the truth. True enough, I don't want to lose Heupel to the NFL or another college team.

I have to laugh at Jimbo at TX A&M who have to win 3 of 4 games to even get bowl eligible this year after they pay him an exorbitant amount of money in a long-term contract.

Get used to his name coming up for any decent coaching job.

Even Fulmer was subject to these rumors.
Don't you remember his stint as head coach of the Carolina Panthers?

He’s not going to Auburn. If there is anything to be afraid of, it would be the NFL. At least Romo says.

I don’t see him wanting to go anywhere. Why would he? He’s building HIS program. They do things a lot differently under this regime than they did in the past. Dr. Danny is going to take good care of him.

They’re getting exactly what they deserve.

I love A to Z’s postgame show with Crompton (about the only person who predicted 11-1 before the season) but everything they publish is 99% guaranteed clickbait trolling.

You people are out of your minds. Did you actually see the game against Bama in Neyland. Do you know our NIL ponied up $8 mill for the top Qb recruit?

Now if he has the NFL bug then nothing can stop that but otherwise, leaving TN, who he just got to #1 and are playing for a spot in y to he playoffs. You people are crazy thinking that a college team will outbid us to keep him, much less Auburn.

He has got an AD he trusts and he will get his money to be sure. But TN is the kind of place you can build a dynasty and you don’t pass that up.

Someone on the phone mentioned Nebraska as a possibility since he is from that area.

However, same contact has stated that Heupel has told people in Knoxville that he considers Knoxville home so I am not too worried.

Why would anyone think that someone from that area would want to go back? This isn’t the Dutton Ranch we re talking about. People succeed in life to get the hell away from tornadoes/ blazing summers/ freezing winters and the close proximity to nuclear missile silos.
