We owe everything to our government

I would be interested in how many of those billionaires in China and Russia have govt connections(and how deep they run) and how many are homegrown. It's not impossible to succeed there, but it is more difficult.

Easy statement to make, Neo, but truthfully you don't know that. It takes more than hard work and determination to succeed. Those countries put a significant amount of stumbling blocks in place when it comes to finding success. Surely you admit it's easier to succeed here than it is there?

Again I disagree. Both sides need each other. No govt means no military which makes for bye bye U.S.A. No business means no revenue which means crumbling nation. The need is mutual to both sides. Yin and yang. They cannot succeed without the other.

Talking about billionaires who make their money in the U.S. then expatriate to avoid taxes doesn't really help your point IMO. Personally, I feel the govt needs to crack down on that as it's just another form of tax evasion. Bunch of rich cats that take advantage of a situation to sate their own greed.

Businesses do not exist because a country exist. Businesses exist because there is a need. The need comes from there being people who need some form of a product. This country could fall tomorrow, no military, and there would still be a need for food and clothing and someone would be able to provide it. That person would then hire their own amry if it was needed and that person may end up forming a new government.

Governments come and go. Fall and rise. Need never goes away.

Needed or not, businesses rise and fall as well. A conquered nation does not normally fair well. New regimes mean new rules and regulations. Nationalizing corporations is not unheard of. You can hope for the best but should prepare for the worst. A new govt may limit freedoms even more causing your business to go under.

There are many flaws in this nation and I see them growing every day, but I still believe this is the greatest nation on earth. And I sincerely hope you are not trivializing the deaths of the men who have fought bravely for our country to guarantee our freedoms. At the end of the day, we can agree to disagree. We're entitled to our opinions because they are guaranteed in the Constitution. But I hope you agree with me that our servicemen and women deserve our utmost respect and the cause they fight for should never be trivialized to support big businness. Our govt may often suck, but the ideals this country was founded on were great. Unfortunately, we've allowed politics to corrupt those ideals and change them as they see fit.

Yea not sure anybody complains about government building roads and infrastructure.

but again, those are available for everyone.

Shockingly, Obama has spent most of his tenure explaining how the gov't is a part of everyone's sorriness too. Hell, his gov't does it all.

Always good when Barry forgets the teleprompter and we get to hear the real Barry

it's a safe bet when he goes unscripted he says something stupid. it's a real reflection of his intelligence, just like i'm sure his college transcripts are

This is the reason Joe Biden is the VOICE of the WH.

Joe uses no teleprompter, he speaks from years of wisdom and a couple of shots before the event.

Every time he goes without it he stutters uncontrollably, says things like "I have been to 57 states" which that was an accident, it happens. But then you get the "we need to spread the wealth" and "you didn't build that" stuff when his hatred for America really shows.

You should really reword this. It makes you sound incredibly ignorant.

No, no. Our president is clearly acting out of contempt for this country.

The culture of calling people haters is simply an indicator of our sorriness as a people. Now that bias is the grandest sin in our world, we've devolved into mediocrity as a true virtue. It's insane.

Couldn't agree more. Though I would word my problem with the whole "haters" culture primarily as one which excuses, rationalizes and/or justifies irresponsibility and juvenile actions.

In short, the ability of idiots to learn and correct idiotic behavior has been diminished.

ib4 somebody calls me a hater

If the govt is so gracious why do so many small businesses fail? They have roads in front of them (most of them do any way).

Oops. The idea that all have access is lost on a fella like Obama. Or...do the roads cause failures too?
