I would be interested in how many of those billionaires in China and Russia have govt connections(and how deep they run) and how many are homegrown. It's not impossible to succeed there, but it is more difficult.
Easy statement to make, Neo, but truthfully you don't know that. It takes more than hard work and determination to succeed. Those countries put a significant amount of stumbling blocks in place when it comes to finding success. Surely you admit it's easier to succeed here than it is there?
Again I disagree. Both sides need each other. No govt means no military which makes for bye bye U.S.A. No business means no revenue which means crumbling nation. The need is mutual to both sides. Yin and yang. They cannot succeed without the other.
Talking about billionaires who make their money in the U.S. then expatriate to avoid taxes doesn't really help your point IMO. Personally, I feel the govt needs to crack down on that as it's just another form of tax evasion. Bunch of rich cats that take advantage of a situation to sate their own greed.
Businesses do not exist because a country exist. Businesses exist because there is a need. The need comes from there being people who need some form of a product. This country could fall tomorrow, no military, and there would still be a need for food and clothing and someone would be able to provide it. That person would then hire their own amry if it was needed and that person may end up forming a new government.
Governments come and go. Fall and rise. Need never goes away.
