This statement is pure insanity. You can't possibly make the argument that there's more disregard for the value human life now than in the past. Throughout all of history, up until about 150-200 years ago, the institution of slavery was pretty common throughout the world. I'm still interested to know when this mythological "golden age" that so many seem to yearn for took place.

As for Tebow, I'm not exactly a fan of his football-wise. But I respect him for not running around making babies out of wedlock, not committing crimes and basically being a decent human being. I think with the right team and scheme, he could be a somewhat decent QB. Like Johnny Football, he's sort of a backyard footballer who if allowed to do his own thing, does make some good stuff happen on the field. If not for ultra-man Peyton, he'd still be with Denver.

Foster's nuttier than a fruitcake. It is what it is. He has no love or loyalty for UT, UT Football, or UT fans. Too loose with his tongue now, and too loose with the ball when he was at UT. Again, it is what it is...and he is what he is.

Please dont make up "facts" to push some agenda. Kids can pray in school to whatever god they believe in whenever they want unless they are disrupting the classroom/functions.

Just because the public schools do not organize prayer does not mean it is forbidden.

Slavery was horrible and still is for women who are enslaved now in the world of prostitution. Slavery was a disregard for human life but was not murder. The holocaust was horrible and was a loss of life. What I am talking about is the whole attitude that killing someone is not a big deal. It is not an issue of slavery and not giving value and dignity like that was. I am talking about KILLING people and not much thought about it.

You can be on whatever political side or whatever your view on abortion as well. But, it is a part of not having a value on human life as well in my view. This and many other things have contributed to where we are today.

Slavery as was practiced in America was a horrible institution but sanctity of life in this discussion is about life and death. Look at how many young black men and women are being treated and how many of their lives are being cut short because of what I am talking about. The numbers are an additional side commentary on how their lives are not being valued.

Yes they have. But, in America, it is getting to another level from where it used to be. But, believe what you want. All is good and morality and the value of life is better than ever. It will get even worse.

You are simply wrong. Any historian will tell you the value of life we enjoy today is greater than any point in recent history. There are certain inner cities that have gang related crimes but on the whole the value of life has increased and that's not even debateable IMO.
