Not holding my breath. Maybe it will happen, but it doesn't matter who we beat...they'll always put someone higher than us like Ohio State even though they don't play many good teams. Don't care about a rank, I care about winning games.

My goodness, who would’ve thought Heupel would be able to take this team to these heights in year 2. He is a national treasure. I hope we all just enjoy this ride and realize this is what we all dreamed under the previous 3 coaches but was just unattainable. Love ya Heup!!

No doubt about it.

As long as Tennessee beat KY they would definitely be #1……….Tennessee humiliated KY……..it’s a done deal.

I am a fan of keeping UGA as #1 since they are the defending National Champion and haven't lost a game yet.

Yeah they squeaked by a mediocre Penn St (Kentucky) team today while we completely stole our opponent’s soul. Somehow Ohio St will be #1, Georgia #2, and Tennessee #3. Honestly wouldn’t be shocked if they had us #4 and Michigan #3 with all the Big 10 biases.

If it wasn't for us starting the year unranked, we would have been the #1 team in the country for weeks by now. We have the best win of any team thus far this season and a far stronger strength of schedule.

I think the most accurate poll is the Football Power Index

And I agree that the weight a pre season poll has at this point in the season is kind of dumb. Stats and analytics don't lie. The algorithm could be biased, but I believe they are made to try to remove bias.

The FPI poll is now a joke. Tennessee 5th behind a team it beat and 5-3 Texas, which rocketed up the poll after playing close to Bama still #6. Not to mention jokehio state being #1 for no clear cut reason.

We should be, we had some close games against at the time ranked teams early in the season but we're firing on all cylinders now🍊
