We will BEAT Ohio St and it could be a BLOWOUT

Ohio State is a very talented and dangerous team. I expect a hard fought game if we’re lucky enough to come out with a win. Michigan is in their heads for whatever reason Day decided to play right into the strength of that Michigan team.

Protect the QB, protect the ball, and I think we have a good shot. I think we match up pretty well with them. A lot of people have pointed to our secondary being weak bc of our passing yards allowed; I think our cbs and safeties are very good our lbers though struggle in coverage.

I expect a competitive game. I am not buying the whole Michigan is in their heads narrative. The Wolverines owned the LOS in that game which secured the victory and held OSU to 77 yards rushing. UT has the DL personnel to do the same thing UM did against the buckeyes OL.

Even better when Smokey hikes his leg on the roses. We don’t give a crap about UCLA’s stadium. The Rose Bowl is just a haven for PAC 10 and Big 10 to hide from the SEC.
I think I read somewhere, if we win the Rosebowl, we'd become the 1st program to have wins in all the Major Bowl games, so there's that. No one cares much about UCLA's home stadium, agreed, but
it would be nice for us WestCoast Vol fans.

Ohio State lost to Oregon by 1 point on a late 4th quarter FG.

They aren't just the team that looked like absolute crap vs Michigan any more than the Vols are just the team that looked like crap vs Arkansas.

I don't look for this game to be easy but I think the Vols can win it if Sampson and Nico are on and our secondary can deal with Jeremiah Smith who is big and fast.

The more times we hear Samson's name called is good.

The more times we hear Smith's name called is bad.

I like the energy, OP. It would take open season on Howard for that to happen: sacks, hurries, turnovers, plus some big plays on special teams, lots of short fields for the offense.

If things aligned just right for either team, this could be a blowout either way, but with these two defenses, it’s an extremely slim possibility. Just win, baby!

Feel free to bump this thread when it happens. Big 10 Football is a joke compared to SEC and we’ll probably have the most fans for an away game that they’ve ever seen. They’ll be shook. We will beat their ass

Think it'll be more like when we "boat raced" Arkansas or when we "curb stomped" South Carolina?

Huepel is dangerous when he has a lot of time to prepare. See vs Clemson 2022 Orange Bowl
If you are expecting UT go up there and win by 21 points plus, then be my guest. We had a bye week before Arkansas as well. Also, Heupel can be dangerous and go up there and win, doesn't mean they will blow them out. To me, him being dangerous is going to their place and winning by 1. I just want the W.
