We will BEAT Ohio St and it could be a BLOWOUT

Feel free to bump this thread when it happens. Big 10 Football is a joke compared to SEC and we’ll probably have the most fans for an away game that they’ve ever seen. They’ll be shook. We will beat their ass
Just curious, but TN is only allotted 3500 tickets, do you think tOSU fans just will not show up? The crowd might turn on Day under the right circumstances, but this is going to surely be an Ohio crowd.

I hope you guys run them out of the Shoe, I truly do, but it’s definitely an away game in hostile territory. What makes you think differently?

Again, I do hope TN destroys an Ohio State university but they are actually one of the few there that can match athletes with the SEC. Why will TN win? I’m certainly no TN football expert, but why will TN go to the shoe and win?

For my money, I think you will win bc of your run game and defense. I think it will have little to do with the crowd, but I’ve certainly been wrong before.

If we sit back and don't throw some blitzes at them then it is going to be a long night. GA is a great example as we did not apply pressure on Beck.

Ohio State is a very talented and dangerous team. I expect a hard fought game if we’re lucky enough to come out with a win. Michigan is in their heads for whatever reason Day decided to play right into the strength of that Michigan team.

Protect the QB, protect the ball, and I think we have a good shot. I think we match up pretty well with them. A lot of people have pointed to our secondary being weak bc of our passing yards allowed; I think our cbs and safeties are very good our lbers though struggle in coverage.
I’m more worried about their secondary than ours. Our receivers haven’t exactly been elite this year and they have outstanding corners and one of the best secondaries is the country. I expect them to load the box to stop Dylan and give us a lot of man. If our guys can’t get open it’s going to be a long night.

Will be interesting if this is the strategy. Very few teams seem to play us this way now. SEC teams have decided to play umbrella in the secondary with a lot of cover 3 and cover 4 looks basically telling Tenn that they’re going to allow DS to get his yards but you’re not going to beat us with big plays. Will the Buckeyes do this too or put their corners on an island?

On the flip side, if we’re aggressive but don’t get to the QB, that leaves our secondary in man against some really good WRs.
Double edge sword I know, Beck got the ball out quick and that lead to dingers to TEs as the game progressed. The question will be if OSU's QB can answer the bell or not.

Are there still tickets left? Does anyone have a link? SIAP
Plenty of tickets left this AM some good some bad seats, mostly verified resales.
There has to be a reason the OSU AD made the statement he did and used the words he did. Must know something about turnout.
When an AD has to make a turnout statement vs the Coach, something is up.
Price points are dropping as well.

Only 1 team has score more than 20 against us and I don't think Ohio State is as good as UGA with prime Carson Beck. Ohio State hasn't faced a defense like ours all year. We've faced multiple defenses better than Ohio State.

Tennessee - 27
Ohio State - 17

I don’t know how to feel about this game. I could see a close win or blowout by either side.

If we establish the run and complete some downfield passes, coupled with putting pressure on Howard and shutting-down their run game, we win going away.

If we let Howard have time and let them have a decent rushing attack, it would probably be really bad the other way.

I think I read somewhere, if we win the Rosebowl, we'd become the 1st program to have wins in all the Major Bowl games, so there's that. No one cares much about UCLA's home stadium, agreed, but
it would be nice for us WestCoast Vol fans.
I was there when Peyton & the Vols beat UCLA in Pasadena of course was regular season but the Rose Bowl venue very old crappy stadium at that time. Probably been updated.
