McCoy certainly has his work cut out for him. Should be a fun matchup to watchOhio State lost to Oregon by 1 point on a late 4th quarter FG.
They aren't just the team that looked like absolute crap vs Michigan any more than the Vols are just the team that looked like crap vs Arkansas.
I don't look for this game to be easy but I think the Vols can win it if Sampson and Nico are on and our secondary can deal with Jeremiah Smith who is big and fast.
The more times we hear Samson's name called is good.
The more times we hear Smith's name called is bad.
The only game I saw where the QB had a lot of time vs Vol D, was the UGA game. That kind of baffled me because Beck had came off a string of games where teams pressured him into interceptions and he had his best game vs Vols.I don’t know how to feel about this game. I could see a close win or blowout by either side.
If we establish the run and complete some downfield passes, coupled with putting pressure on Howard and shutting-down their run game, we win going away.
If we let Howard have time and let them have a decent rushing attack, it would probably be really bad the other way.
I hope you're right, but don't see it. This is probably the most talented team we will play, especially by NIL money. And on the road, which we have struggled at. Not sure where this overconfidence comes from, wish I felt the same. Let's hope you're right, but doubting it.Feel free to bump this thread when it happens. Big 10 Football is a joke compared to SEC and we’ll probably have the most fans for an away game that they’ve ever seen. They’ll be shook. We will beat their ass
I agree with a lot of this especially the night game. OSU has just played 8-night games since 2018 that's 8-night games in 6 years. I have a relative that goes to about all OSU games but said wouldn't be going because of family Xmas get together. He said he knew a lot of people that are having mixed feelings about going versus doing family Christmas things. On the other hand, if Vol fans hit the road, they are not going to back out of going, versus an OSU fan saying you know the readily available excuse of close to Christmas will prompt some to sell their tickets. They will qualify that by saying maybe I'll take a Holiday vacation to the New Years Rose Bowl.I would look at how OSU OL/DL lines did against NEB, PSU, Oregon, Indiana, and Michigan to see how we may stack up against them.
For example, Oregon may not be as strong on Defense as they won but did not dominate. 37 to PSU and 32 to OSU.
The Big10 is a good conference but it is nothing like the SEC. We all know that and this is another chance to prove it.
ESPN will never say it because they would lose half their viewership if they did.
The stadium will be packed but ticket prices coming down substantially. Tickets may be given away at some point to fill the stadium....A Night game and cold, students at home on Christmas break.
The old timers will more than likely watch this from the den easy recliner. Watch this 20 to 40 ft from Bedroom vs driving home.
Had this been a day game it is sold out. Night game may have taken some of the home field advantage OSU had in a day game.
Look at the facts.
