CNN mired in a credibility crisis as ratings continue to collapse, experts say

CNN is suffering a credibility crisis as viewership for the once-proud network continues to crater with no apparent plan in place to fix things anytime soon, according to media watchdogs and insiders.
CNN’s audience shriveled in the second quarter of 2019, averaging only 541,000 total viewers, less than half Fox News Channel’s 1.3 million average. But CNN struggled even more during the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET, finishing as the fifteenth most-watched network on basic cable behind networks such as TLC, Investigation Discovery and the Hallmark Channel. CNN averaged a dismal 761,000 primetime viewers while FNC averaged 2.4 million.
The Hill media guru Joe Concha told Fox News that CNN's freefall may not be slowing.

If Trump really cared about making changes to social media, then he would have invited representatives from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to the White House for this so-called "summit". Bringing about changes to those platforms was not his goal today. Trump simply wanted to do his whining among like-minded people and his allies, who wouldn't either question his facts or challenge his beliefs with facts of their own. I expect that there was also a group strategy session for the 2020 campaign as well. Once again, this was not a summit... it was a farce.

There is no point in holding a summit conference without including any parties capable of implementing the desired policies among a particular group. This wasn't a summit.

Example: Roosevelt and Churchill knew that Stalin would disagree with much of what they wanted done with Germany post-war ... but Stalin had to be there. A summit should involve negotiations with the goal being to resolve differences. This was just a circle jerk at the White House today among people who had no differences with each other.

Wtf? Trump made a big fool of himself with this citizenship question deal. And ultimately, he isn't getting what he previously said was "very critical". That question will not appear on the Census next year.

I think his EO he did today has a boat load more to it than just finding out if you're a citizen or not. This allows all agencies to share back and forth information. The question may not be on the census, but they will have an accurate count.

He had political motives for wanting the citizenship question on the Census, but it won't be there. This was not a victory for Trump. That executive order is nothing more than a hollow attempt at saving face following a high profile defeat.

Would Trump know what to do with his day, without Fox News and Twitter? Seriously, if Twitter suddenly ceased to exist, how would Trump communicate anything? He would just have to stick to his Fox News interviews... or else he would have to hold a press conference once in a while (which he isn't very good at and hates doing). Be careful what you wish for. Trump needs Twitter.

Other than Fox, does the other news outlets make their viewership ratings public? Of course not, they don’t want to embarrass themselves. Seems Rachel gets a lot of good ratings, probably from lesbos and fans that have a man crush.
