A few thoughts on my end:

Iowa State should NOT be anywhere near the top 10. They haven't played anyone decent yet except Iowa. However, BYU should be there. BYU has played and beaten some of the stronger Big12 teams. Iowa State has not.

Miami should be higher.

Georgia at #2 was right. Penn State hasn't played a real good team yet.

Not sure why Boise State is ahead of Pittsburgh, Illinois, Army, or Navy. Their claim to fame is almost beating Oregon.

Vandy is in the top 25!!!

Everyone in the SEC is sleeping on LSU and Texas A&M. Both are undefeated in SEC play. I think the issue is that both had bad week 1 losses (especially LSU).

Seems about right. If we can get our offense fixed, we are in top 3-4. Our defense is legit - then again, so is Georgia's.
You mean if we can get our passing game fixed? We lead the SEC in rushing by a very large margin. If we get the explosive passing game back, we are the best team in the country.

I agree with this mostly. One of LSU and A&M will have a conference loss next week and two losses overall. LSU still has Alabama, at Florida, Vandy and Oklahoma after the A&M game. A&M has at South Carolina, at Auburn and Texas. I think there is a decent chance both end up with two conference losses.

That would put both at 9-3.

Texas A&M's loss to Notre Dame really isn't that embarrassing but I felt like they have to win those games at home. Texas A&M feels like a team that could sneak into Atlanta. I feel like they are being heavily overlooked right now. Heck, ESPN did a playoff ranking and talked about 1-loss teams in the SEC and left them totally off (they even referenced Missouri). It was from Heather Dinch who honestly seems like an idiotic reporter. Her takes make my head hurt. Saban and Herbstreit are the only two people on ESPN that know what they are talking about right now. I recently signed up with Hulu and have ESPN+ article access now and I am seeing that I am not missing much sadly. ESPN was amazing back in the day.

LSU's loss to USC is bad, especially considering how bad USC is right now at 3-4 losing to Minnesota, Maryland, etc. They are NOT a good team. LSU even struggled for a half with hapless UCLA. Brian Kelley's teams do not show up for OOC games and I think that lost to USC will come back to haunt them at some point.
