Fairly impressive that you can get two guys one that was number two at Miss St. to come to Tennessee with Burdette taking the two spot.

I’m cool with that. She needs her people to implement her system but I think packing Lazo and Tubner was excellent, two coaches who know the league and can coach.

This staff is better than any we had under Harper imo.

Especially her first staff, that just was not it and really dug a hole for our recruiting. Goldwire was a snake.

The ironic thing is there were many games under Kellie where we’d fall behind 15-20 points and we started to come back by playing Caldwell ball. Now we won’t be waiting to spot the other team a big lead before being aggressive.

Yep, Kellie’s team was not fit enough to do it for 40 minutes imo.

I expect to see a different level of conditioning under CKC. These girls need to be in “basketball” shape AKA doing a butt load of 8s and stadiums.

I think there has been too much emphasis on the weight room which just slowed us down more at times. Yes, strength workouts are VERY important. But I don’t think we were in good cardiovascular shape under Harper everyone was sucking air all the time.

So would it be safe to assume Tubner will be the recruiting coordinator? Burdette will be the associate head coach? It says Lazo was a scouter and defensive coordinator for Ms state. I’m sure he’ll do some recruiting, but do you think he’d retain the defensive coordinator role? Even without knowledge of her press? Not sure what role Rizor will fit in at this time.

Said something about her working with three point shooting. Marshall shot 33 percent from the three which was decent for that talent level.

I noticed on the graphic they're all listed as assistant coaches. Probably best idea with all those former associate head coaches in the mix. I'm curious about duties as well. And I'd like everyone on this board to pay close attention when duties are announced so no one has a meltdown later bc they don't know what someone's duties are.

That seems mean. You do know bulging eyes are often a symptom of thyroid disease?

And btw, if Kristi is upset she can look at her players who returned and her portal pickups for comfort. Her roster is definitely on the rise. She'll find another assistant.

Yeah, I noticed that they had some of the same stats listed for Burdette and Rizor. That was a higher percentage than we shot. If they can work on some of our current players and get their 3pt % up and in a good system, then it could be very promising.

This is true. Hope there is no mystery and things are clearly defined. Although with them all being under 40, I expect them all to have some tireless energy to put a LOT of effort into recruiting 😂
