Welcome to Knoxville Sharrona Reaves

Would Coach Warlick actually value the input given on offense, that's the question.

I think it's pretty clear improving the offense wasn't a priority with this hire, she was hired to recruit. And even in that respect, the hire looks underwhelming to say the least....

Well we won't know until we actually give her a chance to do her job now will we??? Wtf!

Naysayers are out in force again,as with the commitment of Kamera Harris. Yes,we are spoiled by past success and have a sour taste from this past year's team record. But that does not mean that we should disparage everything done by the Lady Vols. Sharrona seems to have had an upward trajectory in her career, with good team performances. If she can get this group of Lady Vols to move on offense and shoot at 44 percent,we might be pleasantly surprised at next year's team. We shall see on the recruiting trail, but she deserves our support, because she is now a Lady Vol.

I don't want to sound cruel and I hope the young woman does well. But according to Holly we had tons of interest and money to find someone and this was the final result. I hope this works out well for her and us!!! Go Lady Vols!!!

Is this a reference to all the 2016 recruits who were knocking down the door at Tennessee rather than the door at West Virginia?

No its in reference to WV not being in the top 5 for a lot of top rated players like Tennessee is on a regular basis....it's quite clear what the poster meant.

West virgina does not have the same respect as lady vols . so recuirts were not knocking down the door at west virgina. at least at Tennessee we get through the door,. I say lets give her a chance until proven otherwise.

I agree, the lady is not here yet and we are throwing her under the bus. We have her now so let us see what she has before deciding she should be fired. Give her a chance and show some support. West Virginia had a much better consistent offense than we had last year. Let's see what she has before we kick her to the curve.:good!:

Holly is a lame duck coach. If not this year, next year. No great coach was going to come work for a rebuild/one and done. She may be CHW's Clawson who helps bury her. That's the most likely scenario. 1% chance she's Rodney Garner and can pull a Jamal/Deon/Cosey class in 2017. Better get to church!

Reaves was the recruiting coordinator for the last three years at West Virginia. I checked HoopGurlz, and I did not see a single top 100 recruit for West Virginia in 2015, 2016, or 2017. Bria Holmes was a great player at West Virginia, but she was recruited two years before Reaves started working there. So exactly what does she bring to the table that Tennessee doesn't already have? Now if you told me that Holly had hired Niele Ivey to handle recruiting, well that would be a whole different story.

Have you ever been to WV?

A lot of this group on here must belong to the legion of the miserable. Who were you guys expecting to get? Whoever was brought in would most likely not be a household name because how many of those are out there? Most probably couldn't name more than 2 assistant coaches from the SEC and only then because they were former Lady Vols. SMDH!!

People, Kyra was a recruiter (more or less). That is what we lost and that is what you THE VAST MAJORITY were crying hardest about. Now that we got one, SHUT UP and let her recruit.

My word, HW finally did the right thing and you "fans" are jumping her... Well let me tell you something. I was harder on HW than most all of you and I am well pleased with this hire.

If Sharona can get good talent to come to a school that is so far off of the radar,,,IMAGINE what she can do for UT. She is from Tennessee. Yet, isn't part of the spiral.

YES, we need a better offensive flow. But to keep any hopes of maintaining our elite status, we need the best recruits we can get. If Sharona can get good talent to come to UVA, imagine what she can do for UT.

Re offense.... We have exceptional talent here already. 6 All Americans on the roster RIGHT NOW. It isn't up to anybody BUT HW to change her mentality. HW knows what she has done in game management was not conducive to the talent within this team. It is up to her to figure that out. But, re Sharona, we lost a recruiter and we got a recruiter. If she can help with offense, so be it. If not, HW has many options here in this city that would donate their time to coordinating with her. I am one of them!

I like the hire because she is from Tennessee and 2 key players in the 2017 class (Hayes and Harrison) are also from Tennessee. We can not let local talent (Dangerfield, Carter) leave the state or choose one of our rivals (Vandy). There have been plenty of players who were high on Tennessee who we let get away (or didn't recruit at all) (Why didn't we go after the 6'9" girl from NY if we were looking for a shot blocker, but settled on Harris), Why did we pull our offer for McCune (who was once a Top 100 who ironically ended up at West Virginia) only to end up bombing in the class all together. I think she will bring a dynamic that we need (if holly allows her to do her job), Hopefully she is on the phone right now securing some verbals before the fall arrives.

I get your point, but I think this staff thought they had McCoy secured for this class. McCoy was leaning towards Tennessee, but I think grades and the fact that Ohio State offered her sister seal the deal. With all these players signing with Ohio State, I don't see everybody being happy and I wouldn't be surprise to see a transfer or two after next season.
