Auburn should be glad he's staying in Austin. They can now put the full-court press on Gary Patterson.

He's denied it, and I honestly dont know if he's going to take it or not. However as I said yesterday on another thread, he hasnt signed his contract and auburn is after him hard

For some reason, Auburn has some serious wood for Muschamp....

According to a news article on an auburn website, Muschamp is happy in Austin and claims not to be interested in leaving. I linked to it through Yahoo sports.

I would hire Gill in a SECOND. I think Auburn makes a HUGE mistake if they go with Muschamp over Gill.

... or someone that actually has done something besides become a side show.

Yeah that National Championship and streak of pumping out top defenses in the SEC and stoot smacking Urban Meyer anytime given a chance was all a side show.

The man's crazy, that's for sure, but to boil down his coaching career to a "side show" is just being ignorant to facts.

Champ knows what he's doing.

That Auburn job would be an effing challenge. Prying recruits away from Saban and Miles is a monster task.

He stays put, and he's the head coach at one of the top 5 programs in all of college football in a few years, and gets to cherry pick players in the nation's most abundant recruiting territory.

If he goes to Auburn he runs the chance of not being able to snatch the Georgia job if it comes open in the future. That might be the only job he jumps the Texas ship for.

I 100% agree but how long do you think Mack Brown hangs around? I don't think he's leaving anytime soon.... Before you know it CWM will be offering to service Brown's car, especially the brake lines!!

Muschamp doesn't know about this. He (and his mother) says he's staying at Texas.

2.5 million versus 900k ended it for muschamp and will for anyone else who can add and subtract.

Does he have a wife with her own checkbook???

Uh oh, Auburn might want to rethink that, the Bama's are sure to say the Aubbies are hiring a momma's boy.

mack brown will coach at least 10 more years. Muschamp is giving up at least $1 mil per year in lost salary, which he can never make up. But, his mama may not want him to move to alabama.
