If the Carolina loss was earlier in season...and the Bama win later it changes alot. The Carolina game is still fresh in everyone's mind and so decisive. Everyone considered it the final nail in coffin and not enough has happened to change that vibe. Not enough time has passed. Heck...many people don't even know we hammered Vandy. Unfortunately...this is where we're at.
I hope the players that laid down in the SC game are happy. The more I think about it, the more inexcusable and despicable it becomes. What a bunch of spoiled-brat, narcissist children. I hope it was worth it. This fan base has followed the team you suit up for - you know, the team that paid for your education, and for some of you, gave you an opportunity to play at the next level - has waited for a chance like this for twenty-one years. And you pissed it away because a coach disciplined a player who by all accounts needed it.
I really think Hooker probably wouldn't have gotten hurt if not for the players who decided not to give a damn. Had said players actually played like they normally do, we probably would have been at least in the game at that point, if not leading, and Hooker would have been more his normal self, and less likely to try to do too much.
Rest assured, those of you who threw the game: someday you will want something a lot, it will depend on someone else, and they will choose not to give a damn, and you will lose out and it will hurt. And you will deserve it.
Of course there's also the possibility that at some point when you're fifty or seventy or eighty you find some semblance of maturity, and realize you pissed away a chance to play for a national championship, and are sickened to the point of physical illness at your own stupidity and selfishness. One can only hope.
You should stop trying to think because you’re not very good at it. You may have missed this, but a lot of articles have been published everywhere from ESPN to here claiming that there were players who were unhappy with Banks being held out and implying that those players chose not to give effort as a result. If you think any D-I defense just randomly gives up the most points ever given up by that team to a conference foe in its history on the same week that there are numerous credible reports of locker room problems and the two have no connection, your thinking skills need some work.If you think the players threw the game you should stop posting now. I think the game plan and focus sucked, and they could not compensate for losing their best defensive player. That's on Heupel. Banks is not suspended if Saban is the coach. Saban didn't suspend a player caught on national television taking a swipe at an opposing female fan.

You’re a twit. My IQ is probably about thirty points above yours. I have a degree from an Ivy League university; I also have a Ph.D. I run and lift six days a week. And I could buy and sell you a couple times over.I don't have to call you names to know your intelligence quotient is probably below an 82 with a name like lost sheep. The closest you've probably come to sports is sitting in the stands eating cheetos and drinking natural light. The fact that you reference "claim" means you are probably subject to being conditioned easily.
Even if players are upset, once you lace it up your adrenaline kicks in even if you go into it upset. The defensive coach calls the game. Once it was obvious we weren't getting pressure then you blitz more if nothing else is working. Banks did not. Our best blitzer, linebacker and player on defense was back in Knoxville.

They have given far more to the program than you or I. No one threw the game. Stop being a dolt.I hope the players that laid down in the SC game are happy. Do you think successful people have to sell their bonafides or it's obvious? Most smart people just do smart things. You don't . So odds are you aren't. Sorry . Do better. You’re a twit. Actually I got you mixed up with another poster so I apologize about that but the other stuff to make yourself sound like the 6 million dollar man is a riot.
You seem very immature. If all your claims are true it seems like a terrible waste. There was no reason to be disrespectful to the poster simply because you disagree. Take a deep breath and think with that generational brain before you type. You’re a twit. My IQ is probably about thirty points above yours.
