We'll Win Out

And score 50 a game in the process.

Every passing, total yards and scoring record at UT will fall.

We will loose to Missouri and Vandy, and the Kentucky game will be a dog fight.

I say this because of our defense. Against Troy; on one play we were in a 3-4, and our nose tackle stunted to the outside! That is why Troy went to the draw plays.

When we switched to a 4-3, our linemen were stood up on almost every play and couldn't get off a block. It was like they were trying to cover two gaps.

The coaching staffs at Missouri and Vandy will dicimate (or decrapitate) our defense.

UK's not going to be a dogfight; UT can't overlook anyone, but it's not going to be that close in that one

Ha ha ha. In years past our season was already decided going into November. We played UF, UGA, and a formidable foe from the SEC West. November wasn't even talked about. We knew we would win out.

Now, we are squeaking past our Homecoming opponents hoping we can beat the dregs of the SEC East wherein we now find ourselves.

Winning out does not seem it will be enough for DD on a practical level. He his boxing himself in on recruiting with the D that is showing up. A defensive recruit is not going to be impressed with throwing players under the bus and the only explanation is poor coaching. And what recruit wants to come in a play for poor coaches. If the D got stout in the last 3 games it would be something to point to in terms of the product the Vols put out on the field but its hard to deny that yeilding the yardage we did yesterday is not a plus for the direction of the program even though the win clearly is.

We are not competitive against teams that don't matter (Mississippi State, USCa)

Losing by 3 after having the ball on USCjr 20 with few minutes left or dropping the interception within last 5 min when trailing by 3 vs M State is not competitive? Then you need to look up the definition of word competitive. Also, while you think these teams don't matter both are in top 25 (although I agree historically they don't matter things are definitely different this year).
