yeah, theyve been awful on the road and in close games. Today they took care of business. they are a top 20 team. Did they play amazingly? no. Did we have plenty of chances to win? yes. Sometimes you just lose. there isn't always a huge reason. sometimes it just happens.

ding ding, those wins over Pitt and Nova might have put this team on cruise control. Bruce should preach how we are not a tourney team yet and need to play well in the Georgia Dome to secure a spot. Regardless, this was a big game that this team should've been able to take.

They don't deserve the ncaa tourney....they are Terrible....have been terrible most of the year,no one on the team can shoot the ball & no one gives a rats @ss about rebounding....no hustle on anyones part....this team is bad all the way from the coaching on down to the last player on the bench....one of the biggest problems is they are LAZY..........you can spin it anyway you want but 18-13 is TERRIBLE!

only reason we get in is because every other team is terrible...better start rooting for bama, uga, va tech, boston college, memphis....etc to lose

No. We lost every tight game and got outcoached/outplayed in the second half. The abortio at the end of the first actually ignited the whole thing.

Well george mason lost today to vcu. TN needs to avoid losses by tourney teams in order to slip in IMO.

Gosh I hope they prove you wrong. We coulda got a 2 seed an got blown out by a suckier team. Also seems to me we play better against tougher competition

i dont disagree that we got outcoached and outplayed. but im saying sometimes that stuff just happens. it doesnt mean we didnt try or that we are terrible and dont deserve to be in. Knight got hot at the beginning of the second half, theyre team as a whole started knocking down the three, and we just couldnt get back at the end. its a loss, but the sky isnt falling because of it.

Get embarrassed by Arkansas and there's no tourney invite. The Villanova win has lost much of it's luster. I don't see a mediocre team playing bad basketball getting into the tourney primarily on the back of a win over a good Pittsburgh team 3 months ago. They're playing for their NCAA lives in Atlanta.

like to know how we are going to improve at the rate of uk if we have no bruce pearl and lose harris/hopson to draft...and we couldnt even beat that crap uk team so we will have to improve leaps and bounds...

If we got the bye, we would have played Ala in second round if we won first.
Now if we win first game, we play Fla.
The way Ala beat us, I'd rather play Fla anyway.

how are the 2 Belmont wins looking? look at our SOS and top 100 wins. no one is claiming we are making it in simply because of a win over pitt.

if we lose to arkansas then i would say we will be in a group of 4 to 8 that could get knocked out if teams like VCU start making it...hope we are closer to being the top team in that 8 than then bottom but if teams have stronger conference tournies we could keep slipping down that line

there are some glaring losses on the schedule as well. The NCAA does take into account how a team is playing at the end of the year as well.
