The comparison is between FSU this year and UT last year is not relevant. The kids FSU is going to get (besides Elam) were considered locks/heavy leans to them back in the spring in the summer. Then FSU fell to peieces and those guys started looking around. Go back and read through the Joyner, Jones, Shaw, Christian Green articles and go back to the first pages of the Luc thread...
Meanwhile, UT actually pulled stunners. A LA kid from LSU, a FL kid from UF, a Bama lock with Myles, and the #1 player in the land who was committed to a team his brother played for. The only player that would even be somewhat comparable to what FSU is doing is Teague...
Just teague? If you are saying that it is not relevant because all of the recent fsu commits were at one point committed or heavy leans to fsu then how can you say the only comparison is teague? You are overlooking Gordon, oku, Oliver, and I'm sure some others that I can't think of right now and can't look up bc I am driving. I agree with you that brown and Jackson were remarkable gets, much like fsu getting Elam. I'm not panicking by any stretch of the imagination, but those on here that believe kiffin is going to be able to pull a similar coup like he did last year are going to be deeply upset I think, luckily there are still enough good players on our board that haven't committed anywhere yet that we still have. Good shot at. But to end my overly long argument, there are more similarities than not for why fsu is reeling in a lot of good recruits this year and why we did last year.
