A little perspective.

The Titans look very miserable at the moment...do we dare say it's the coaching...of course not...chemistry plays a big part in the success of teams

We are a struggling team...it will turn around...let's all take a breath

Go Vols

Blaming Fisher for the 0-4 record would be dumb. We should blame Mike Reinfeldt and Bud Adams for letting Big Al go.

Fisher better get it going soon---when fans start wearing bags, it's not a good sign.

I don't want to see Fisher gone, but that might be what needs to happen if we're going to do big things again.

No way Fisher should go. He's one of the best coaches in football. I do believe, however, that there's a certain timetable for coaches staying with certain organizations. Fisher has been here for awhile.

I would say that the loss of Schwartz is hurting more than the loss of Haynesworth.
Yes I believe Schwartz being gone is a huge factor. Titans will be looking for a new DC soon.

Fisher does the best with what he has. Bud Adams doesn't like to pay the big money to keep the good players.

Someone enlighten me on what has Fisher done in his 16 years to be considered one of the "best" NFL coaches? His career stats are very pedestrian. He has a career winning percentage well under 60%, made the playoffs 6 times, a losing record in the post season, only 3 divisional titles, only 1 conference title and has never had 3 consecutive winning seasons. That's all it takes to be "one of the best"?

Kind of hard to be really outstanding when you have to rebuild every few years, due to your owner and GM refusing to re-sign anyone who asks for, God forbid, market value.

Before they initially started winning under Fisher the Oilers were just plain bad. Many of those down years in between the team was hampered by cap restrictions. He's done well throughout his tenure despite the front office, who select guys high like Vince Young, Pacman, and Chris Henry despite previous doubts.

It's only going to get worse if next year is uncapped.

Except for the past few months there's been a lot of talk around here about McNair being a HOF QB. How many years did he play at Tennessee? Every team loses key players regularly and most manage to have better than a 2 year run followed by a spell of .500 or losing seasons.

If Haynesworth is the difference between the Titans going 13-3 last year and conceivably 3-13 this year, how did they beat the Steelers last year without him?

most likely no, that's not going to be what makes this team better....if anything, it would just make more of a mess later

They've also had 3 good "better than expected" years the last 3 seasons: 06 were supposed to win 4 games - went 8-8 and just missed the playoffs; 07 supposed to drop to 6 wins - went 10-6 and got a wildcard berth in the playoffs; 08 supposed to be playoff team but not great - went 13-3 and best record, 1 seed, etc

Way parity - both cap, sched, and luck - tends to work in this league anyway is most teams dont have more than 3-4 good seasons before having a bad one. This team kinda has done that too in the past (look at 99, 00, 01 and then 02, 03, 04).

Was worried that this could happen before the season. They've had 3 "better than they should have been (at least projected)" years, and they were kinda due for a bad one...happens in this league

Big Ben being Big Ben and turning the ball over about 13 times didn't hurt the Titans' cause in that game.
