They just joined the ACC not long ago...They are major players there and would be nothing more than a punching bag in the SEC...I seriously doubt the SEC even contacts them

15 that would leave their current conference? I cannot. Indications are that OU and OSU are looking at the Pac-12, and Va Tech is saying they are content where they are. Obviously, for the SEC East, I would prefer Va Tech and FSU, but WVU would not be that far behind.

Many WV football and basketball players had the talent and desire to play elsewhere but couldnt get in. If you can play ball and spell your name, WV will welcome you with open arms. There is no academic integrity there IMO. Geographically, there are several BIG10 school further south than WV. Its a northern school in an area no one wants to live. T

This is a bad fit any way you slice it, but probably our only legitimate shot in the east. Which is why I posted yesterday about the importance of getting Oklahoma. The SEC loses big time if we have to resort to schools like WV.

I was speaking about better candidates, not necessarily schools that are considering the option or have been asked.

At least our fanbase won't be the most pyromaniacal in the conference after this happens.

And they might wrest the title away from UF for throwing crap at opposing fans too.

Does anyone realize how far north wvu is?? Also, Morgantown is horrible. More in common with western Pennsylvania than with the south

WVU is a terrible option. Their AD making that statement is like the ugly girl telling you she's available for the prom when your looking for a date. The SEC is the coolest guy in school. He's not asking WVU.

Remember this about VT. Their AD is very smart and knows one thing very well, $$$. If he thinks he has a chance to better the program and make more money. He will not be afraid to make a change.
