There will be more transfer. Im not quite sure the powers that be understand the landscape of the game now. I know most on this board, the Lady Vol Facebook page, and that "other" board dont. This is not the 80s and 90s.

Hate to say it but might be for the best for Tennessee. We need some Lady Vols type girls in this program. Been in short supply the last few years. That very well might be Holly’s great weakness, not her coaching knowledge. Good luck to the ones that leave.

Thanks for the info. Question-I had heard that there aren't any major Lady Vol boosters left since Pat passed away and the big boosters are only concerned about the men's sports. Is this true? Do you feel that Fulmer can be that easily influenced by the "blue hairs"?

I agree! Folks just don’t get it. Kids are not enamored with UT anymore. Based on how the coaching search is going I knew it would come down to this. Some folks are so entrenched in tradition and are holding on to the past so much that they don’t care that the program is sinking like the Titanic. I said we would be the next Louisiana Tech on the Summitt last year and all hell broke loose. Seems to be we are headed that way. The kids probably know who the next coach is going to be and if its Kelly, they want no parts of it.

I don’t care how good of a coach someone is, you cannot win big without talent. She will not be able to win in the SEC or against the Notre Dames and Louisvilles with the type of recruits she brought in at Missouri State. Period. You may win a few “feel good” games in the tournament but the Cinderella story is virtually non-existent in the women’s game. Usually the top seeds go to the Final Four. Just sayin...

The LVs really could have made a big run next year with the talent and a REALLY good coach. They are going to turn this job into one that did not require rebuilding into a major project overnight. Smmfh.

Maybe Ionescu is entering the draft. Westbrook could slide right into the lineup at Oregon.

Well from the looks of it UT will never hire a male coach. McGraw is pushing for total female takeover in WCBB..”she doesn’t believe the young ladies see enough people in leadership that look like them”... I don’t see UT hiring a male coach..

You know what? Most of you just dont get it and I understand. Fans. But here is what I know. I hate to lose and we are losing. We lost to freaking Vanderbilt. And we are gonna end up going cheap and/or hire a mid major coach, or a coach that has 0 experience? And I get taken to task for saying the search so far is a cluster? Some of you and your choices for coaches make anyone that remotely know the landscape of the game today cringe in unbelief that some of the things that has been said on here. I dont even know what to say.

Which seem to be happening more and more but wouldn’t be promised now if Ionescu stays for her senior year then goes she would slide into that spot for sure while having a year to learn the system.

Nobody is transferring because of the coaching search. These players have no idea who UT is going to hire and if they are going to mesh with the new staff. The Westbrooks have been complaining for two years. And the other player that mentioned leaving has nothing to do with the coaching search, either-- and she may not leave. Her issues really aren't team-related. If there are others thinking of leaving because of the coaching change, there's only so much that can be done about that. Change causes change.
