Jauan Jennings says hello...
I glad for that...she chose to leave...she complained about the coaching...we changed the coaching staff and she still ran out on us...She obviously wasn't true LV...she doesn't won't us, so the feelings have become mutual..."ONLY" true LVs should represent the LADY VOLs...Go LVFLEvina just removed “Tennessee WB” from her instagram bio and placed a link to an old highlight video of hers from high school on YouTube.

Oh dear do you really believe that comments on this board ran that girl off? I am a firm believer that she had made up her mind she was leaving halfway thru the season! That is such an unfair take on this. Evina had taken most of the heat the past two seasons from all the fans who’d chosen to blame the players for all the issues, but it was only AFTER Evina honestly answered that stupid reporter’s inappropriate question did the truly VICIOUS, threatening-feeling attacks begin. Many on Facebook appeared ready to tar and feather her and chase her out of town. People on message boards were raging against her and her mother with so much venom it was scaring ME, and I don’t even know them.
HOW WAS EVINA SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT TYPE OF OVER-THE-TOP, FRIGHTENING REACTION WAS GOING TO HAPPEN??????
“She still ran out on us.” That’s bull. She was RUN OFF by an angry mob of morons who think it’s okay to sit behind a keyboard and anonymously hurt 20-year-old kids. It’s disgusting!!!!
I watch that girl play on that floor when nobody else would put effort out she put effort out. I refuse to believe she spoke out in anything other than an emotional moment , she spoke out on behalf of her team as a leader should. I believe she took a bullet for the team. And I may be wrong and have been before but I'll keep believing this until I see something in black and white that demands otherwise

That wasn't were I was trying to go with that statement...maybe I was a little bit harsh when I made the statement "she still ran out on us", so I will take that back...I TRULY hope the best for Evina [she was my favorite player]...We don't really know for a fact, exactly what was her true reason for leaving, but at the end of the day, she chose to leave...I am pro LV, period...GO LVFLThat is such an unfair take on this. "Steps need to be taken with our staff."
That is what she said. It was a true statement, and very mild compared to the
majority of comments on this board, which directly and loudly called for the "coach" to be dismissed. Evina's remark could be taken to mean many things, but the lttle lynch mob has declared that she called for HW to be canned, when Evina's own words did not include 'CHW' or 'fired'.
Those who choose to condemn the young lady for being honest may now return to sniffing the bicycle seats of former LV coaches, while wrapped in cloaks of righteousness. Pfffft!
It's truly unfortunate that some people would react that way...maybe many were non-LV fans and wanted to see Evina leave...nonetheless, there are certain repercussions that come with what someone says or does [especially when it's a player speaking out against their coach]...the whole thing is a catch22...I wish the best for her and her family...LVFLAre you not aware that Evina and her mother were brutally attacked on every social platform, not just here? They were inundated with hateful attacks coming at them from all directions. I honestly suspect that they felt they had no other choice but to leave. I mean, after it became clear that the hatefulness had dramatically escalated AFTER she tried to stand up for the program — people here and on other platforms were actually saying that she “MUST LEAVE” — I really don’t think anything but a clean start elsewhere was going to feel safe for them.
Was Westbrook's STAFF change statement referring to the trainer or water/towel girl?
Sadly, Evina's comment directly led to the LV's towel girl being dismissed. Even worse, Fulmer went cheap in hiring a new towel girl, rather than spending more money for a better qualified towel girl; and don't get me started on how the "blue hairs" kept Fulmer from hiring a towel boy.
Do u think that without her comment publicly that Holly would've been fire? IMO, I think it's a good thing that someone said something however, I remembered her Freshman year, I mentioned that she always had different attitudes from her other teammates. I've also mentioned her body language all the time. I wish her luck and hope she finds a coach that can put up with her.
I was responding to one of Franklin Pierce's many ignorant statements about how Westbrook "crossed the line" and couldn't return to the team because of her comments. Because, you know, this isn't the Lakers. I would invite him to re-watch Jauan Jennings profanity-laced tirade against the former Vol football coaches and compare it to what EW said and he would realize how full of crap he is. Jennings is still one of the most beloved players on the team btw.
And if you're that hung up on "body language" you must be very disappointed Davis isn't transferring too...
This is what always happens. These kids make choices for themselves and they get bashed for it. They are great and wonderful until the moment they decide to leave. They didn't change...the fans changed their attitude towards them based on that action alone. I find it repulsive that grown men and women would act this way about a kid that had a change of heart. They are not required to live "their" life on "your" stage. They are still kids so wish them well and hope for the best for them. This "hate them when they leave" is just so wrong. Some get it.....some never will !
I believe that ship has sailed....Westbrook is an established player and should stay. She will learn from and like the new coach who was very much the same take charge player as she. The team returnees all play well with Westbrook and seem to admire her. Anywhere else she goes she will not be an established team leader. She may meet much resistance
from and already established team group. Westbrook is an excellent student having done well in studies at UT. People on this board who criticize her, only a sophomore,
probably have ulterior motives and she should not pay any attention to their rhetoric. I say 3 cheers for Westbrook and please stay.
