We've identified 2 teams Alabama and Ole Miss...

Vandy would beat Indiana. That team had no business being in the playoffs. Really crappy game to start the expanded playoff era.
I’m not so sure about Vandy beating them. They certainly could, but Indiana’s issues come from being out-talented. Teams that they can match up with they have mostly blown out. That would likely be an entertaining game.

Mississippi State would beat Indiana. That team is a total fraud.

Let's got get ridiculous. Miss St this year was a very poor team with a new first time head coach.

Vandy on the other hand this year would have smoked the Hoosiers. As much as I hate to say it, if the Mildcats brought their A game they would also destroy Indiana. Let's not even discuss what Arky would do to them

Hoosiers only averaged 62 plays/game this year. They were never going to be able to beat an actual, complete football team this year. They got their record by beating up on the University of the Little Sisters of the Poor all season and finally got their pants pulled down and butts spanked tonight.

There should be a requirement that to be playoff eligible, your SOS has to be above a certain position unless you outright get a bye from winning your conference. What that would be, I dunno-probably 50 or 60.

Serious people knew Indiana with a SOS in the 100's was probably gonna get smoked tonight-and they did. Went to a buddies place to watch the game with 10-12 other people. We all left at halftime. Game was borderline unwatchable.

Indiana is James Madison.

Yes, for all practical purposes. Their current coach, in his first year at IU, brought 13 of his JMU players in as part of a transfer class containing 30 players overall. They have improved immensely, but they were dominated in the trenches by the only two teams that were legitimate tests. On the other hand, whoever thought they would live to see the day that IU would beat Nebraska 56-7, defeat Michigan State 47-10 (on the road, no less), or slaughter UCLA 42-13? However, that was the reality of their 2024 season.

I wouldn't go that far

Miss State recruits at a higher level than Indiana. Just this year Indiana took 30 transfers from James Madison. The fact they went 11-1 with a G5 roster is an indictment on the Big 10 as a conference.

Imagine an SEC team taking 30 transfers from James Madison. You think such a team wins a single game in the SEC?

Not to take anything away from Indiana, but I’m going to anyway - they had a cream puff schedule and the one true test they had, they got beat down. And they should have lost to Michigan.

You couldn’t leave them out, but they clearly were not ready for this stage.

Indiana MOST DEFINITELY should’ve been left out.

To be fair, Miss St played Arizona State close and I’m not sure that IU and ASU are that different.

I'm not shedding tears for Bama and Ole Miss. The thing that really gets me is our pathway to the final game. First a game against a legit team on their home field and if we win, playing number 1, then to whatever happens to the other bracket. How did ND get the cupcake? ESPN hates us, Mark Richt lost control, if we lose we all kick a bucket of light bulbs and if we win out, there will be NO ARGUMENT, because we had to beat the best for 3 games in a row.

Seeing better SEC teams would’ve probably created more competitive games.

But Bama and Ole Miss lost to too many medicocre teams.

Vols gotta bring their best tonight with effort and preparation.

The best (2) teams in the CFP are playing tonight.

Go Vols!

True, but the mediocre teams Bama and Ole Miss lost to are better than the teams that Indiana, Penn State, and Notre Dame feasted on all season.
