What’re the chances KC comes back??

So khris Middleton and Siakim.. Those 2 are the only big names. Most of the time the g league is for players who should’ve stayed in college. With money being offered it could alter decisions.
How many more players successfully played in college a couple years had a better career. Compared to the g league where a player can be covered up.
Both avenues have different perks.
You stay in college now you can get paid. You can get exposure, and develop your game. I get what everybody is saying the g league better players more experience.
If the right money is offered a player can be swayed to stay with their college.
I think KC could be someone who breaks the trend.
I think he’s coming back.
Did you really just say Rudy Gobert, 3 time All-Star and 3 time DPOY, wasn't a big name?

There's no chance he's coming back, or incredibly slim at best. If he's a first round pick he's making at worst 2 million a year (that's if he is picked 30th).

Where are they going? JJJ isn't ready for the NBA. May not ever be

Is SV on any NBA draft boards? I haven't seen any
They both had conversations about it last year. I know that for a fact. I heard it this morning also on a podcast that they both were probably 50/50 on coming back. I hope they’re back, I think they both will be, but it’s not a given.

I thought Pons would be back for one more year and he was gone.

I think we would all love for Chandler to come back (or most of us).

However he was a top 10 freshman, #1 PG, and he’s been producing as well or better than any other top freshman PG………He gone.

The NBA loves skill, potential and youth (not just those). He will be drafted, he will make lots of money…….unless he was already mega rich and just loved “college” ball why wouldn’t he leave.

He traded his normal life and normal “kid-dom” for this exact reason.

Oh wow, TIL. I'm sure there's some justification somewhere but what a stupid rule.
Part of a bigger governmental picture. No one with a student visa is allowed to earn money in the United States, I do not believe. So Santi and Uros couldn't even hold down a part-time summer job with altering their visa status.

Oh lord, I thought that was the case. My first thought was "just tax their earnings".

Pons about left the year before. I knew he was gone. And I would be very surprised if Chandler stays past this year.

I would gave guessed that UNC, Duke, and KU didn’t have any foreign players and are mad at Gonzaga for crashing their party.

To me, while as a fan it would be fun to see him stay another year so my favorite team would be better, I feel like it would about the dumbest thing in the world to stay another year. If I were advising him and he even considered this I’d have his head examined and then beat the stupid out of him.
If he were to get hurt and lose out on all that cash .... just wow.

True, seems like players today will go if there's even a slight chance of being drafted

So I know everybody thinks/knows KC is gonna go to the NBA after this year and probably be a first round pick. BUT
In my opinion if KC leaves after this year he is a lock for the first round. If he did stay, I see him playing for the first overall pick!! He already has things that you just can’t teach, speed, instincts and a passion for the game that shows in big moments. He comes back next year and the game slows down for him , he cuts down on turnovers ups his assists and scores upwards of 20 ppg. I’m all for players leaving and getting paid bc they’ve earned it, but in this rare case I could see KC staying. He loves his teammates and he loves the game and he wants to learn.
Having this backcourt together with another year of experience under their belts along with this talented group of post players Tennessee would have the potential to be deadly and poised to make a run in the tourney. Not saying they won’t this year BTW.
What do y’all think? Is their a chance we get Kennedy Chandler back for one more year!

Find former Vol Scotty Hopson and ask him his thoughts on this question.

Factors include: how much he's making from NIL, his potential draft slot, how the team finishes the season, and who's coming back next year. If he's a potential lottery pick He should leave, but don't underestimate the bond He has with His teammates, particularly the chance to run it back with Zakai. This team has Sweet 16 Elite 8 potential. If He returns next year with everyone else coming back a year better ?!....Elite 8 is this teams floor.

Sam is one of the more well regarded guys who does a mock draft, he’s pretty connected with NBA front offices. At #298 that definitely would seem plausible that returning is on the table, still plenty of basketball to be played though.

Agreed. I like Sam. But, I will say, his brief write-up on Chandler makes it sound like he hasn’t watched him much recently. His “red flags” are the same as the ones he stated in the last few mocks a month ago.

He said Chandler can’t shoot and Chandler is prone to turning the ball over, 2 things that I feel like Chandler has greatly improved on this season.

He compares him to Sharife Cooper again. A guy mocked in the 20s but falls to the 40s.

Could be he’s not watched recently or that he just wants to see it done over a larger sample size before changing his opinion.
