I mean where the roster can be stacked every year ( which is 90% of the battle) and has the backing to win. I know they say Tn was always hard to get recruits and Fulmer over achieved in getting our roster stacked in his prime. SO I feel he did a lot to make UT a top job. But I mean just a job that once hired you should always win 9-10 games immediately. Let me start by eliminating Notre Dame.

1a. Texas
1b. USC
2. UF

IMO.

Thats based off them pulling the same talent which has been the case lately. Easiest place to win 9-10 games is Texas. Hardest of the 3 is UF due to the SEC schedule.

That list is dynamic. 10 years ago, it could have been argued Tennessee was top 10 and USC wouldn't have been on the list. And if UGA ever hires the right coach, it becomes a top 10 job.

There's a list of about 10-15 places where you will most likely stay until you retire, or are fired.

Alabama
Penn State
Michigan
Ohio State
USC
Texas
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Florida
Tennessee
Georgia
LSU
Notre Dame
Florida State

There are a few more, but for now, that would be my list. Obviously, some are better than others(Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and USC)

Miami is iffy, but one could argue it because of the talent level local to south Florida vs. east Tennessee.

I can agree with Georgia. Similarly passionate fanbases, tradition, multiple national titles, and you can look to the first half of this last decade as evidence of what happens when a good recruiter puts the state's HS talent on lockdown.

Tradition and facilities are great for Tennessee, but fact is there is a distinct lack of local talent that only UT, Vandy and Kentucky have to deal with.

Slightly off topic, I've never fully understood why Ole Miss hasn't been a better program. That state produces a solid number of high quality players, in addition to being well-represented in west TN. There also seems to be a lot of money flowing through the school. Yet they haven't been any good for about 40 years now.
