what are you expecting vs. OU?

Like others, I never go into a game, no matter how much of an underdog, thinking UT will lose. While the period since 2008 has been agonizing-squared for UT fans, there is always that glimmer of hope that UT will get the job done.

UT should always be competitive. A moral victory is unacceptable.

As far as Oklahoma is concerned, the same is true. I look to a feisty, never-say-die performance from the Vols. Whether or not that turns out to be a "signature win" like SC was last year, remains to be seen.

For a UF fan, the hidden question is how might the outcome affect the October 04 game with UF? If the Vols win against OU, the momentum going into Georgia will be huge.

However, whatever the outcome of those two games, the first biggest game of the year at home is UF and UT is still not in a position to look past anybody. The UF game for the last 25 years has been the biggest or one of the biggest games of the year. Team #118 will be hyped and ready to play. The crowd will be at capacity and the fans will be loud and boisterous. When the Vols get the lead, it will be deafening and will continue to be that way until the game is over and long after the game is over. UT can be the loudest stadium in the SEC. The fans are hungry so the atmosphere will be electric, just like GA and SC last year. Many think the '04 game with UF was the loudest. Might be a few less people in 2014 because the capacity of the stadium is less but the fans are eager for a winner. It has been a long time coming and 2014 is the year to beat Florida! GBO!!

OU replaces a lot of play makers on offense. Nearly 70% of their offensive production was lost if I remember correctly, as well as some key pieces on the OL like their C Ikard. Trevor Knight will still carry the team offensively and I expect him to be a good QB. They lost their senior RB duo and are left with talented sophomore Ford (who was very highly rated). Jalen Saunders was their best WR and he's gone but they've still got a really good one to fall back on in Shepard. I would love to see a confident, healthy Worley vs Oklahoma. I think it will be a better match up than most experts predict.

I'm going all in. At the very least I expect us to try and contain their running game, try and get pressure on Knight to try and force a few mistakes. JMO this game comes down to how smart Trevor Knight is with the football. Also interesting note, Blake Bell (former starting QB) is learning TE.

You do not.

I think we will surprise the nation in this game. I look for Worley to have his best game so far and for Malone and Pearson to each get 100yds receiving. I think our Oline grows up on the road and handles their front 7, and that our DBs are helped by a pass rush that's been missing the last several years. I say we win 31-20.

Ha ha, just kidding. We're getting crushed.

I expect this game to be a lot like the Georgia game. Kept close throughout and us competing with a decent chance of winning, but probably ending in a loss. I won't say we're 100% going to lose, but if I were forced to bet I wouldn't put money on us winning. I think the final score will be like 27 - 21 with it being either way.

When we finish with OU win or lose they'll want to remove us off their schedule for the future.

We win 86-3. Worley throws for 521 yard and Hurd rushes for 394. North and Malone haul in 3 TDs a piece. AJ, Curt, Bates, Hendrix, Sawyers, and Barnett account for 13 sacks. Sutton and Berry grab 2 INTs each.

Worley would need to throw about 800 for us to score 86 points.

That early in the season I would hope the game is still close heading into the 4th. I dont think you can go on the sugar bowl because it was clear bama didnt want to be there

I said it before the Bama/OU game was the perfect storm. Bama was not happy to be there and for Stoops and sooner nation it was their chance to show the world they could compete with the SEC. Knight will never have another game like that. I think we compete if we win the turnover battle. It's hard for me ever to predict us to lose.

pretty sure the belldozer was the QB in all those games you saw before the sugar bowl then knight went out and threw for 400 and the defense looked better id expect that team to show up not the team that lost to texas

but who knows that was only 1 game knight might not be that great

T Knight actually played half the season and looked very mediocre. Then he came to the sugar bowl and played out of his mind. Not saying he's not a good quarterback, but watch film from the previous games and tell me if quarterbacks honestly get that much better in that short of time.

I expect to see a well disciplined machine that is fast, strong and full of young power packed freshman talking the talk and walking the walk. I think we win by 10-13 and OU doesn't know what hit them. The way to turn the corner is to do something no one expects them to do, this will be the first step. You won't see a stadium more quiet as the one in Norman on this night.

What am I expecting for the OU game?

A lot of fast forwarding.

I laughed.

I think UT is on the rise, but I don't think the rise will start next year as far as wins and losses are concerned. I think you'll get some moral close losses. But I think you're in for a $hite-kicking from OU. They'll be able to pound the ball. I just don't see a young TN team being able to keep it together in that environment. I know you know this, but you guys have one tough freakin' schedule. Just pray that you can get to a bowl game and that everyone stays healthy for '15. You ain't gonna compete with OU and Bama. Maybe us and UF, but not those two.

Butch has his work cut out for him this season and I know he knows it.

Embarrassing beat down that does nothing but ruin the team's confidence.
I hate this game.

Whenever I see rival fans say things like "I think Tennessee is on the rise but …" it sounds like the fat chick's friends that say "she has a great personality once you get to know her"

This is the exact reason your prediction has a minuscule chance of coming to fruition.
