Sure, you all bought season tickets while we had a coach with a history of losing, but now we hire a guy with a history of winning and you're pissed.

Seems legit.

Against how many ranked teams? Was FLA,ALA,etc. on his schedule each year?

He beat the teams on the level where he was competing. 4 conference championships in 6 yrs is not bad.

For some to say they spent money while CDD was here but now they're done because we hired CBJ is moronic.

I find that if I drink the right amount of Makers or Jack before the game (not too much) it puts me in the right mood to deal with a loss.

This year at the Bama game the Bama fan who sat next to me said he hadn't met a Vol fan who was an Ahole.
I told him all the Tennessee Aholes are bandwagon fans and are now not coming to games.

This thread is a perfect example.

I'm excited and will watch or attend every game. I never was on board with that loser Dooley.

I've had season tickets since 2003. Not just the cdd era. Me choosing not renew them doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone. It doesn't make me a bandwagon fan bc I don't want to drive 4 fours round trip, sit in traffic, and hope our football team shows up.

I will still watch the games, and hope our football team shows up. It will now just be in the comfort of my home and friends.

The notion that I'm not a fan now or bandwagon fan bc I simply have chosen not to renew my season tickets is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention ignorant on some fellow vol fan, points of view.

I always buy a new shirt and will again this year.

Just because I'm not excited about Cbj, doesn't mean I'm not a vol fan or cheering for our team, it just means I'm using caution before being sold on him. Win games and people will come. If you win, they will come. They will most definitely come.

I do not want fair weather fans jumping on when we start winning. Its not about the coaches for me. Its about UT, orange and white, and the kids who sign on the bottom line to play football here on Saturdays! I do not care how many f'n stars they have but I do care that they give their all for UT! I will cheer for these kids as I always have and always will!

University of Yellowstone! Sorry on mobile. Fingers to big for such little screen. Fixed it just for you though.
Thanks bro, I was really curious. :loco:

you found me out.

my 50 years of attending games at Neyland, 30 years of Volunteer Fund contributions, and VF rank have all been a smokescreen.
It was just a joke but I'm sure you knew that. :p

Do what I do every Saturday in the fall...wear my orange proudly win or lose! Certainly hasn't been easy being a Tennessee fan lately, but even in the down times...IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL.

Well, after digesting this whole coaching search thing, I guess it boils down to this:

I'm more upset with how the whole thing was handled by Hart/Cheek...pathetic!

However, I think they may have backed into a pretty good coach. I think CBJ knows x's and o's much better than Dooley, he has won multiple conference championships and I think he's a real football coach, not an attorney pretending to be a football coach.

I'm in for my season tix and hope and pray for some good things this season....just something that shows he will get this turned around fairly soon.

Um, I agree. I'm not a band wagon fan. I've had season tickets since 2003. Just simply not renewing them. It's my choice to watch the games at home and have people over instead of driving 4 hours round trip. It does NOT make me any less of a fan than you.

The crack about winning games and people coming was a reference to field of dreams. It was meant as a joke.

Orange slice apparently feels that his opinion is the only one that matters. Thankfully you aren't the judge and jury on declaring who is and who isn't a vol fan. Not sure if people of your intellect can grasp that.

With that said, I'll cheering for the vols to win and play hard every game. Without your permission though, hopefully it'll be possible.

I sure hope we never win a NC again because then an awful lot of people would have nothing to ***** about.

It may have been a joke, and I can appreciate that, but there is a whole lot of truth to it. Those fans make me want to vomit. If we do get good again, I believe we will, they will moan and cry at the first tough patch we hit again. Also anyone who thinks we are going to be great this season is misinformed but on the other hand anyone that thinks we wont show improvement over the last 4 years is in the same boat. We do have a coach now. Not a superstar yet but its coming.
