More anti war minded.
To be honest the Demacratic party seems alot more open to helping people who dont conform to a set of ideas. IE gays, minorities
Religion is big in the Repub party. I believe in God but do not attend church.
It feels like the Repubs are all about money and everything else is 2nd. These are just feelings I get.

My religion ties me to the party for one reason, there are others, gun control, etc....Just not a fan of the homers lifestyle. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

I have called myself a republican for most of my life, because of the belief that less govt is better govt, but they have gotten away from that. I think that if our forefathers could see how huge the federal govt has gotten they would encourage another revolution, after all it is similar to the reasoning of the first one. So now I guess if I must be "put with a party" I would call myself a libertarian.... or independent

I don't have a political party that alligns with my beliefs..........

The first part would be that there would be no career politicans, you know, like the founders intended.......

That would pretty much scare every one away.

I'm officially without a party. Since Bush's daddy, I have been forced to vote for the party least likely to tax and spend....and then tax some more.

I am convinced that the beltway is more concerned about the revenue potential of the government than they are about me.

I completely agree with OE. Term limits are our only hope to root these money grubbing SOBs out of Washington.

I belong to no party. I hope that my mind allows me to continue to think for myself. I try to evaluate all candidates on their merit and then vote accordingly. I am by no means a single issue voter. I like smaller government and fiscal responsibility/conservatism. I believe in the individual and think as an American we should have the right to either succeed or fail based on our abilities. Limited government was key to the development of this nation and will be the key to future progress. I refuse to be tagged one party or the other. I am a constitutionalist, capitalist and conservative. The reason I belong to neither party is the fact that I can name Conservative Dems and liberal Repubs.

We do have term limits. For every office to which a person is voted in they too can be voted out. Our laziness is no reason to do something unconstitutional IMO.

Generally, I favor less government and restricting government involvement to those areas constitutionally outlined (e.g. national defense but not healthcare)

I disagree with the Republican party on social conservatism issues.

I disagree with the Democratic party on the role of government in equalizing citizens.

i'm kind of the same, but then i start looking at the dem. side and i just can't bring myself to vote for them, so that limits my choices.

I would def be a social moderate. But that must also include responsibility for ones actions.

No doubt - this is a key component of conservatism.

The government should be the safety net of last resort not the first choice for curing what ails you.

I've tried for years to attach myself to a party to no avail....the party I seem to support flip flops more than Mitt Romney on the issues... I'm not sure that I have any one deal breaker...

I agree; their tolerance for people who do not believe in abortion, do not believe in global warming, prefer capitalism, etc… is heartwarming.

When it comes down to it, in the end there is really not that much difference between the two major parties.
