What did Lane say?

Lane is like an unstable ex-wife. The media keeps asking him and us, "What's going on with your ex?" And he and we feel the need to answer when there is no good answer.

No one has separation anxiety or an obsession with Kiffin. He is just an unprofessional dick who we happen to have a permanent connection with. It’s not about him living rent free in our heads. It’s not lingering over an ex. It’s that he is a bad person who treated us poorly. Most of us simply respond accordingly when he is brought up. We are well over him.
I guess you didn't see all the Kiffin/Gruden fanboys posting comments during the dumpster fire coach searches ? Half the comments were those wanting Kiffen back and the other half was " my cousin knows someone close to Gruden who wants to come to Tn"......over....and over.....and over. Kiffin trolls Tn fans as a hobby and there are still fans who fawn over him and hope he returns.

Are you saying in the midst of the dumpster fire of 2017 where we were interviewing Dave Doeren at one point that going after Lane Kiffin would have been a poor choice? You can be mad at him all you want but if you think there is a world where hiring Pruitt or Mel Tucker and interview Dave Doeren would be better options than the idea of taking a look at Kiffin, you have some screws loose. His time at Ole Miss just shows it wouldn’t have been that bad of a result given where we were after Schiano Sunday and Currie going AWOL.

Lane’s exact quote was “any Vols fan who gives a rat’s ass what I think is genuinely stupid”.

Lane Kiffin was just live on GameDay and was asked if he had anything to say to vol fans about the game today and he said "let's go out and beat the whole st of Alabama today, GO VOLS" lol.

So essentially “beat Alabama because it could help us get the opportunity to play in the SEC Championship Game.”

I don't doubt he has some coaching skills. But once he screwed us over, it boggles my mind how any sane person would even entertain having him back to our school in any capacity except cleaning out toilets. He's a selfish jerk ---a child in an adults body . Just because Tn hired a bad coach , does not make him any better. His constant trolling of Tn proves my point

Lane knows he messed up! He would have led us back too. He is a very good coach, I'm happy with Coach Heupel!!!!

He just wants to stay in the spotlight. He knows this could’ve been him but screwed it up. He’s jealous of Heupel as he should be.

I’m sure Lane being asked on a national interview about Bama Tennessee puts him in the spotlight more than, checks notes, a 7-0 record at Ole Miss a year after winning 10 games for the first time in school history.

That’s great but Ole Miss is and always will be an inferior program compared to Tennessee. He knew that by saying “Go Vols” it would make the rounds. He knows he should’ve stayed. I personally don’t have a problem with the guy, but he’s the Conor McGregor of CFB.

“Make the rounds”….. he was asked on a national tv show aka Gameday. It wasn’t like he made the comment on some basement dwellers podcast. Of course it’s gonna get out there but was made on NATIONAL TV

So if he had said “no comment” it would’ve been as impactful? I mean, really it’s not even about yesterday. In general he trolls on twitter and makes dumb comments. He’s said multiple times on smaller stages that leaving Tennessee was a mistake. He’s all about himself. He knows that he would’ve likely won championships here and he made a mistake.

It would have been newsworthy regardless of his answer. They point blanked asked him about the Tennessee Bama game. Had he said “no comment” it would have been “making the rounds” just as much as him saying “go vols”….. amazing how rent free he lives in people’s heads.
