In my neck of the woods, it's the other way around. Our Long John Silvers went out of business several years ago,and Captain D's is popular.Are those places still around? Thought they disappeared in the 90s.
Over in my neck-of-the-woods we got Long John Silvers to replace them.

We had a Long John's, but Cap'n D's put it out of business. In my home place in Kentucky it was the opposite. Long John's put Cap'n D's out of business. As far as my dinner,I ate homemade beans and weinees. I was glad to eat something from home after a week of eating out even if it was something simple.
I know what you mean because I will eat out for a while and then eat at home foe a while.
