I wish we had a serious passenger train system in this country, but I think that had to develop through the 19th and early 20th centuries, as in Europe, to have acquired the rights-of-way and all. We’re pretty well stuck with air and vehicles. (Don’t get me started on the grey dog and friends.)

They keep saying they are going ro run amtrak to Bristol from Roanoke and want to run from there to Chatanooga. I'd ride the heck out of that

Amen on trains. AS a teen,I took painfully slow train from Knoxville to DC, where I would spend a couple weeks at a great aunts home.

M only travels to Chicago only via Amtrak, He loves it

once again, someion was involved in a 75-minute phone call, and then there was a flood of photos of L and M from last day lof school and finally face time with all three grandchildren.

Supper was ez. We had bbw left from start of week, as well as slaw, tater salad, baked beans and later water melon squares

Day 2 of Baseball Regionals

Menu today

I bought 50 whole wings marinated them for 2 days, now going to bread and deep fry them and toss in a mixture of bbq sauce and Franks red hot sauce.

Cutting up some potatoes for french fries and actually going to bread them lightly as well..

Prepared a Banana Pudding for dessert today at 1a.m. I never sleep.
