What did you have for dinner II?

This reminds me (sort of except it's served in a bowl) of a dish this restaurant in Boynton Beach, FL (Snappers) serves.

It used to be called Halibut Paso Robles. It was a beautiful piece of fish served over white beans with spicy chorizo with fried potato straws piled on top. It was outstanding.

If the restaurant is still open it's worth a try. They may have substituted the fish but back in the day it was Halibut.
Sweet! I have halibut in my freezer too. And cod. And salmon. And sea bass. We eata lot of fish.

Be still my heart!

I'm telling you (as you know) fish and beans are fantastic together. All this restaurant did was add chorizo and tater straws on the top.

Bed of cilantro like rice, sautéed onions and spinach? Ribeye, pico on top. Mixed together and put in tortillas. Pretty good.

Baby back ribs, taters, and peas. Per my wife's request, the ribs were marinated in mojo creole overnight, then cooked on the grill via indirect heat, with hickory "biscuits" in the smoke box. I cut 4 full slabs (~2 ft long) into 8 pieces for ease of marinating and moving them around during the cooking process.
