What did you have for dinner II?

What kind of beans define soup beans? I grew up on pintos only as "soup beans". Cornbread and either slaw or chow chow were necessary. Onions and hot peppers optional.

What kind do you all choose? Soak or parboil? Salt at start or end?

And of course that is what the Easter ham bone🍖 is for!

Just made a pot a few nights ago😋.

I do regular pintos and usually use fatback while they're cooking. Gonna use the ham bone tomorrow.

My family have always as far as I can remember used pintos and some kind of salty meat. Ham fatback or even a little bacon grease.
