In Florida, there are rabid fans of Publix subs ("best sandwich for the money, anywhere"). As Publix expanded north, so have these fans. While waiting in line to order a cheesesteak at Weeyums, the guy behind me asked if I'd tried Publix's philly, claiming that they were "damned good." I assured him I'd stay in line to order from Weeyums. You'll hear "could've had a Publix sub" anywhere.I'm partial to Jersey Mike's myself, need to try Publix
What? Nobody's told you that you could've had a Publix sub?

Someone else bought and brought them, so I’m good!In Florida, there are rabid fans of Publix subs ("best sandwich for the money, anywhere"). As Publix expanded north, so have these fans. The Amato's owned Motz's across the street, where The Shack is now. I went to school with one of the sons. I still have a bb lodged in my hand that he put there lol. We rarely ate at Motz's. We ate at Amato's all the time though. I miss that heck out of that place.used to be owned by the family that owned Amato's (been gone a while)
don't know if that family still owns Raffaele's or not
I'm not sure about the last part with the Miscagnia family connection. They gave up the Guiseppe's recently. I'm pretty sure they don't own Raffaele's. I know em all, went to school with em, they moved here from NY when we were in 7th grade, and never have seen them in there. The Amato's owned Motz's across the street, where The Shack is now. Raffaele's is the family that owns Giuseppe's and Italian Village. A couple of kids from that family were a year or two behind me. I think the family still owns it.
