Went to UAB hospital yesterday for an MRI and stopped in Bessemer at Bright Star for a late lunch on way home. Greek salad was to-die for. Mrs AV had their Greek red snapper dish and carrot salad w.ityh-th and wine while I opted for crab cakes, mashed potatoes and Bloody Mary.

This historic family restaurant is a regular destination for us, Web site is worth exploring

They're one of my favorites. They are probably the tiny HateSteve's favorite thing I make. I prefer the red variety however.
