When the right notices the left being as racist as they are and it's not seen as racist, what does that say to you?

BTW, I used the term "lefties" not "democrats". There is a difference. Democrats wrongly think their party is about helping the little guy, lefties are under no such illusion.

my definition of a lefty (or part of it) would be anybody who thinks Michael Moore tells the truth, Keith Olbermann's former MSNBC show was "well-researched", and Mumia should be free.

I didn't call them racist. Others that do so might be doing it because they are wondering why the Tea Party didn't exist before Obama was about to be elected to POTUS. The TP claims it's about fiscal responsibility so where were they during the Bush Administration when there seemed to be a lack of fiscal responsibility. Many of the TPers like to claim Reagan as one of their own as well. That is even a bigger joke and I can promise you when some far rightwinger does it, Reagan rolls over in his grave. BTW, he wasn't the poster boy for fiscal responsibility either.

This logic is weak. Look at all the war protesters. Where were they when Clinton had us involved in the Balkans? Where are they now that Obama is doing what Bush did - actually even more with the drone attacks? Odd that only a R president would deserve massive protests isn't it? Timing is important here.

The TP folks probably did dislike Bush's debt run up but saw it accelerating even more under Obama. Add to that, the economic downturn that focused more attention on fiscal policy and voila the TP reaches critical mass.

Blaming it on race is simply a way to delegitimize them rather than examine the issues.

It's not my logic. I don't label the TPers one way or another. He asked how people could label the TPers racist? My answer was purely suppositional. I have friends who associate themselves with the TPers. They aren't racists so I have no reason personally feel that way myself

You're going to find out that I don't give a da** if two people of the same sex get married. While I will always wish a woman to have her baby, I feel it isn't my place to tell her what to do with her body, so therefore I am pro-choice. That marijuana should be legal. That I am mildly conservative fiscally and strongly conservative militarily.
Since I was old enough to vote, I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats for POTUS, actually abstaining from voting this last go-around. The pool of truly qualified candidates is becoming less and less desirable, IMHO

Is there a reason you didn't answer either one of my questions? Nothing wrong with saying "I don't know"

I re-read my post a few times trying to figure out how I was telling you what you think and I couldn't find it. It sounds as if you are attempting to say that you were one of those calling the Tea Party racist (I was not). I was merely pointing out that the Tea Party was called racist by the left but no explanation that actually made sense was ever given.

If you don't think what Eric Holder said is racist than you are a lefty. Let me explain. Very often the left is given a pass when they say racists things. Remember the comments about Obama by Harry Reid? The only reason he didn't have to quit the Senate is because he is a Democrat. The ONLY reason. Remember when Trent Lott said something nice about Strom Thurmond? You do realize that Trent Lott resigned and Harry Reid is the majority leader? Democrats can get away with saying pretty much whatever they want but Republicans have to watch every word. You either get that or you don't. If you don't get it then you are a lefty.

Holder did not say anything racist. He is responding to a prompt and a quote that the voter intimidation in Philly was "the greatest affront in history," by comparing it to the Civil Rights struggle.

Maybe the Congressman who is trying to challenge Holder should do a better job of selecting which quotes he is going to use to sensationalize the issue???
