Healthcare costs were not mentioned here. So adding that in I will change my statement to the upper age brackets having the most debt for those healthcare costs. Still, breaking down 4 year age ranges, you do see the 18-22 range acquiring a very large amount of debt. Break down the 4 year brackets on how much debt is acquired and not rolled over and tell me what you find.

On a positive note, the war in Iraq as the pre-eminent political topic is at least delaying the generational warfare that is sure to ensue, at least in the political arena, when massive tax increases come to the table in order to fund Medicare and Soc.Sec. retirement benes. for the boomers.

Good strategy for the GOP....bandaid the entitlements and put off fixing them for the Dems. Then the Dems are forced to raise taxes to fix the problem.

BRILLIANT!

considering how much money is flowing into the government as a result of tax cuts, raising taxes becomes a political tool to further the dems class warfare agenda.

Considering how much money is flowing OUT of government, even money that isn't there, I'd say what is the point? The more the cuts the more spending there is. Spend today, borrow tomorrow.
