You are so boring.

Ok, Let me know what recruits have ever been swayed by spring game attendance.

Proximity to home.....no.
Playing time......no.
Coaches.......no.
Program success......no.
Academics.......no.
A fit for the system......no.
History of putting players in the nfl.....no.

Spring football game attendance........can I get a hell yeah?

I refuse to have a discussion with you. You're just an arguementive politician, and a Florida fan to boot.

You are dismissed.

It's called a difference of opinion and shouldn't be such a problem for you.

It's not an anti Tennessee opinion either.

But, apparently, disagreement isn't to be tolerated. Just "dismiss" it.

Okay, here we go. Just to be clear, you're saying that a record breaking spring game attendance would have no bearing on recruits. Is that your stance?

So a very excited fan base, along with recruits that attend, and tweet, all their friends that are recruits that are on the fence with committing, will have NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on their dicision to commit, now, or later, which could start a positive steamroll of.....

I understand your position, Gator.

You've got 7 or so commitments now. Haven't even played the spring game.

A player getting his desired jersey number is more important than spring game attendance.

If Tennessee signs 25 players, the vast majority will have not attended or seen the spring game.

They don't care

Honestly, I don't see 75K people showing up for the O&W game. If only 35K people show up, is the excitement lessened? I don't think so. Will it in a recruits mind? Again, I don't think so.

Come August, no one will remember the Spring game. Hell, after last year's O&W game, half the posters on here were pushing some white receiver for the Heisman. He had 7-8 catches in 2012.

Spring game attendance is about as reliable a tool for recruiting as is painting the rock

I found this link with O&W attendance for each year. I was really wrong thinking that 1997 was a big turnout. I was there too. The 73K year was quite an anomaly.

Orange and White Game - Tennessee Vols Spring Football

that cinches it.

looking at the overall attendance year by year makes 73k really stand out as an outlier. i would have guessed that CJMs first year and 1999 right after the NC would both have been larger than 86.

Ignore him. I think he(and all the other "wait and see fans") are only a half step away from a Bama bumper-sticker anyway.

Well said. I can only add this, if you are a true vol fan then drink the cbj-ade and support our team. If you are not then stay quiet, it will make it easier for you to jump on the vol band wagon later.

That we believe again in volunteer football.

It validates the decision to become a Tennessee Volunteer for every student athlete that has ever been apart of, is apart of, or will be ever be apart of the University of Tennessee.

This is a visual show of support for our coaching staff that has worked harder than any coaching staff that has been apart of our football program in years and our belief that they are molding young men into something that we will make us proud that they represent the University of Tennessee.

That we are the Vol Nation and we are coming for you.

Why? We are "FAMILY"
