I do believe Bush was actually a pretty nice guy overall. But had really horrible advisors and a family legacy to maintain.

Maybe thats the starting point for the upper age limit to be elected anywhere. If you are, or will be during your term, older than your demographics average life expectancy you cant run for election.

I can tell you what it means to me.

-Secure borders and all points of entry. Develop an immigration policy that is very exclusive. Make ALL illegal immigrants so insecure and uncomfortable that they self deport. Only those who have a needed knowledge base or skillset should be allowed to immigrate and then only after an extensive background check.

-An offensive trade policy that promotes American products and fights for what is best for American workers without regard for anything else.

-Using our military to project power only when it is to our benefit or the security of our nation and a select group of allies. Using air power in place of ground troops whenever possible in order to protect the lives of our troops.

-Telling the UN to pound sand and hanging an eviction notice on their door tomorrow.

-Promote food production, rare earth mineral mining and electric grid hardening as priorities.

-Stop pandering to assholes within our borders and promote excellence.

Those in elected office are supposed to mirror the voters. Old people vote a lot. Being a politician isn’t like being a surgeon or a pilot or a soldier or an athlete. Old people are just as capable and being closer to death they may not be as easily bought.

Dumb people are elected officials as well. There isn’t a minimum IQ.

Term limits make more sense than what you are suggesting. There are plenty of 70, 80, and 90 year olds that are more mentally stable than a whole lot of 20 and 30 somethings.
