What happened to JG @ Washington State?

He’s riding the bench last time I checked; it looks like his football career is over. Hope he does well in the next chapters in his life.

It wasn't his injury - or at least it wasn't that injury - it was after his pride was injured throwing the third interception of the game - a pick 6. He did not play again after that.
They realized what they had after his second start.

Yea, their message boards went from “we’ve got an experienced SEC QB - 5th all time in passing at Peyton Manning’s school” to “my God this guy can’t read the D, feel the blitz, check off to another receive or see the running lane to scramble! And he throws late for easy interceptions!”

😂😂😂😂

Number 1 dual QB in the class of 2016. Absolutely DESTROYED by incompetence in CFB. I can really see him winning a few Grey Cups before getting a shot in the NFL. Talent. Check. Heart. Check. Development...... Oh He!! No

Excuse me, but i fail to see why anyone would check. I mean, perhaps he was a promising QB coming out of his HS in New Jersey. But something happened between his time there until he left Knoxville. Perhaps it was shell shock from getting the daylight beat out of him. Perhaps someone transplanted Abby Normal's brain into his body one night while he slept.

I agree, I hopre his next chapter in life is good. Because this one has not been a roaring success.

He did well on the camp circuit, where you don’t have to worry about what defenses are doing or worry about them sacking you. Coaches saw that he could launch the football and thought they could fix everything else.

Reminds me of a short story. Once upon a time, thought believed he was in the bathroom, but was actually still in bed. Guess what happened.

Got injured and believe it or not, I think it qualifies him for a medical redshirt so he could potentially see another eligible year... wouldn't that be like 7 or 8 ??? Could he be out of college as Doctor Guaratano ???

This is his 6th year. He started the opener against Utah St. and got hurt and then started against Utah on 9/25 where he threw 3 ints, the last one returned 54 yards for a TD to seal the game for Utah.

I don't think he was hurt after that. He only started against Utah because de Laura was hurt. So not sure he qualifies for a medical redshirt.

I saw his injury. It happened on that play in the first or second game (don't remember the opponent). He got slobberknocked in the endzone for a safety.

There is some eerily familiar about the sound of that.

Well! There goes where I said a bunch of times, that with Tennessee’s luck, he would be a he is man candidate this year, but I guess our luck is turning. He is not, and the vols are starting to win some ball games.

I think JG started the first game for them, but got injured. He returned for the 3rd or 4th game, but hasn't played much since, if at all. He's either hurt or has been relegated to clipboard duty.

Lost starting job to Jayden de Laura.

He did get injured as some have said, but he came back and de Laura kept the starting job, so the injury is not the reason he's riding the bench.

I mean, he must have something like 6 degrees at this point. Surely something will stick.
GBO!!

Man, we should’ve sacrificed a QB to Washington state, a long time ago. We could potentially be starting another decade of dominance by now.
GBO!!
