What has happened to this offense?

I’m a psychologist. You do you, my friend
Point out in my posts where I said it wasn’t deserved. I’ll wait.

My point, which you are having a hard time grasping, is his mindset as a 19-year old because of the money involved.
You don’t know Nico’s mindset no more than anybody else. He is doing just fine, stick to your clients if you have any. GBO

I would say as much as his play has been inconsistent this year, Nico's presence has brought some top recruits into the fold. If we can replenish the O Line by any means necessary then we should be a major player again next year.

He's a RS Freshman. What were your expectations? I think the offense is better than it was last year. But your handle says a lot about your mindset. No matter what happens, you won't be happy.
Is Lagway a fair comp? He’s a true freshman who looks much more polished than Nico when he’s played. UF beats the Dawgs if he didn’t get hurt IMO. I’ve said it to others, the coaching staff has not done him any favors by not calling more plays that would help him with his confidence and makeup for a poor O-line. Next year’s line looks even worse on paper at this point.

We started the season hanging big numbers on sub par teams and a bad NC state team,

We got to our SEC schedule and our production fell through the floor which wasn’t surprising.

I figured we’d come in and mop the floor with UTEP reminiscent of those early games, but it’s clear something has happened and this offense was at its peak in our first 3-4 games and has fell way off. Didn’t expect that.
We really didn't look good at NC State. We were stale on offense and it was actually a game that may have stayed close if it were not for the Will Brooks pick 6. NC State was driving for a TD or FG and then that P6 changed the whole momentum. Even in the final score big margin you could go back and look at film and see flaws in the O and Nico had or has some aging to grow into the elite fine wine QB we all think he can be. JMO, GBO.

What on earth has Lagway done that you think makes him so great? "He might have beat UGA". Lol

What expectations? We are a 10-2 team that is having some growing pains with a young QB starting his first season. As I mentioned in another thread, Hooker created unrealistic expectations for anyone that follows him. He was basically a generational QB for us. You have to give Nico time to grow up before you expect the 2022 offense to reappear.

Maybe people should wait until the end of the game to start complaining. Otherwise, they should start complaining during Vol Walk.
A supervisor once told me, " If you would keep your mouth shut, no one would know how stupid you are !"

Do they play in the same offense? Are they asked to do the same thing? Do you compare your coworkers to people at other jobs?

If Nico could consistently, or more times than not, hit that deep ball, with our current running game, it would be the most lethal and feared offense in the country. With Banks defense, we roll every team we play.

Nico came to UT b/c of $. I think at times his primary interest is his QB rating and an future NFL contract. Winning at UT is great but not at the expense of his QB rating. The “game” is now a business and don’t be surprised if players treat it so. As such, his cautious play should be expected. Hooker on the other hand was playing to get noticed. Hence he was “balls to the wall” and a better risk taker.
